I've been out of action for about 2 months following an operation on my jaw.

I've been on a liquid diet for about 6 weeks owing to the fact that my teeth are clamped shut with elastic bands wrapped around my braces. I had put on about just under a stone in weight before surgery knowing I'd lose it. I'm 5'4 and just under 9 stone at the minute. I think 9 is a good weight for me. (It lets me enjoy some of the unhealthy things in life :D ) I had been running a bit and did a couple of 5 mile races at the start of the summer but I fear fitness has taken a dive into minus abilities at this stage...

Even though I'm still a little weak I think I'll go back to the gym tomorrow and start easing myself back in. I can't run yet as I imagine the impact would be a little painful. So I was thinking spinning or 40 mins on the cross trainer or something. I've never really worked out on the cross trainer so i was just wondering whether or not it was any use? And what type of program should I do? Or should I start doing weights (bearing in mind that I'm recovreing from a broken jaw and sometimes when I do weights my facial muscles take on a life of their own!!) ? Any and all advice is welcome!! I'm feeling VERY motivated after all this!

I suppose it's also a good time to undertake and stick to a good diet plan seeing as I've discovered that I can actually survive without crisps and chocolate and bread and take aways... That might be for another day though.

    Thanks in advance gurus!
