    Hi All,

Just got offered this course:DIm delighted got in with 375 points thanks to The HEAR Scheme. Anyone else joining me?

    Introduction week 30th of August?

Congratulations Micheal, I wish you all the best in DCU and I hope you have as much fun there as I did.

Just a friendly tip, I wouldn't mention that fact that you got into BS on lower points than my others. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it per se, but it may irritate some of your new class mates.

Again, best of luck in the new course. I'm sure you'll have a ball.

Not at all. Most people won't care, but there's no point annoying anyone unnecessarily. Again, just a friendly tip.

    Here's last years timetable:

Just thought I'd bring the thread up to the front page....while also announcing my first mistake... :pac:

I have managed to pick the german module for the second semester and for that you need the german module from the first semester! And there is no chance I'm doing german again for a year!

So could anyone kindly point me in the direction for module changing?

I'm loving the course! Its quite up to date, and every is really friendly, you make friends easily! You get the option of doing a language but I picked communication skills as an option, and I think thats one of my best modules! Its challenging and interesting every week, and it really improves your communication overall! :D

    Cool thanks!
And what about hours? Is there much of a workload? Many presentations, assignments etc. so far?

Also, what standard is the accountancy module? I haven't done it for the leaving cert and its not really my favourite subject?

    Sorry forgot to reply....

I have about 15/16 hours a week. Workload is grand, just keep up to date with your reading! (Which I haven't done...) I have two assignments at this point in time which are due in the coming weeks, they aren't too hard, they just need a bit of time put into them!

Accounting starts from scratch, I did it for the LC so I think that it is very easy! As long as you keep learning and practicing you shouldn't have any difficulty with it!!

However I didn't do economics and that is now difficult enough! So if you are doing economics you won't have to spend extra time on that and you can practice some accounting.

Thats about all I give you on those questions!
