From you point of view why worry how the 10 players from a club qualify once you have 500 players.

Also I think you are very foolish to limit it to one team per club, why not allow the bigger clubs enter an A, B, C team etc. if they have the players.

What I would insist on is that a team player must be a member of the club so as to avoid "packed" teams & they must play under the club name, ok to use [club name] A, [club name] B etc.

Hey Neil , Liam here from Dream.Poker am i right in thinking that entry for a team of ten is €2500 (10 x 250) . Also when scoring for the team event do all 10 players finishing places count or are you thinking best 7 type of thing. Ps. Athy's in kildare but i am a laois man so dont mind representing Laois.

    Hey Liam,

The geographical spread is irrelevant :D, Having Dream Poker on board would be great for either laois or kildare . The mechanics of the event will be announced in the official thread .

The Team organiser or Club will also now recieve €2,000 if you are the Winning Club

Also Money for 2nd and 3rd

Each Player will get €500 and the organiser/Club also gets €500

    Individual Payout

€71,500 of the remaining money will be broken down between the players

I can understand your motivation to pay the clubs as it incentivises them to support the tournament but I think you're doing it at the expense of the player. Clubs/Casinos aren't non profit orginisations , they already make money(some make plenty) off the players.

I dont particularly like the way you've allocated money to 1/2/3 club as it discriminates against the individual players or smaller clubs.

100% of the prize pool should always go into the individual payout. If you want to encourage clubs to support you why not give them a cut of the cash games rake i.e. out of your pocket rather then mine.

I haven't played one of your tournies for a while but I always thought your structures/payouts benefit the player.

Thats why the team bonus comes into play . I on the other hand do think that some of the money is rewarded to the organiser. Out of a potential €110,000 i dont think that €3500 makes much of a difference and i feel that the club organising the event will have an added interest .We are also looking at a way of getting the event sponsored to subsidise this payment .

How can 100% of a Prizepool go to individual payouts in a team style event?

These payouts do benifit all the players because you will have a total of 80 players paid with the top 3 teams and the 50 other players for individual payouts .
This event is giving something different to the players , If i did it the way u say it would be a normal €250 Freezeout . I will look at getting the €3500 Sponsored so that it does not cause any problems .

Thanks for the speedy reply. I appreciate that you're trying to introduce something new.

Getting sponsorship might be an idea. €3500 is still €3500 regardless if it comes from a €110k, €1,000,000 or €10k prizepool

Big Slick and the Cue Club have a meeting on this next week to discuss the venue for it and to sort the ins and outs of the structure for this event but with both myself Connie and Matt working on this i am now 110% sure it will be a huge success.
