If thats actually your diet your well set. Now get a good sweat on.

I say join a gym. By all means get on your treadmill for a couple of weeks to limber up and become more comfortable with exercise before hitting the gym, but you will simply burn more cals at the gym than you ever will on your treadmill (its not the most effective machine for burning cals).

Get yourself some weights too and start building up what you can lift. Build some muscle and youll burn more cals even when youre doing nothing.

eum im no expert but it doesn't seem like a good diet to me
you don't eat any fruit and veg??!!
you'll need more proteins and fats
    6 meals a day

did you look at the stickies cos it's all in there, i'd recommend g'em's posts on diet and nutrition,
    good luck

As the poster above said, you're lacking fruit and veg.

The porridge is a great start. How do you make it? And do you put anything in it? If you make it with water, add some berries or banana or dried fruit and seeds...then it would be the perfect breakfast.

I'm partial to the odd boiled egg with breakfast too.

If you have a sandwich for lunch every day, try varying it. If you're making them yourself, try adding some lettuce, tomato or other salad to it.

Soups, salads, even beans on toast...

Vary dinner as well (there's a pattern here, hehe). Add vegetables to your rice and chicken and try different kinds of protein. Fish is great.

Snacking on unsalted nuts and seeds and fruit/veg is a good idea too.

Oh, and drink plenty of water.

As for the fitness aspect...well...the treadmill would be a good start. If you can afford to go to the gym, it would probably be a good idea to go and get a trainer's advice initially.

    Drink nothing but water.

Jump on your treadmill before breakfast.

    Burn nothing but fat.

    :D

Im actually confused! Does the smiley at the end make this a joke? Its not funny anyway, terrible advice!

OP as said before your diet at the moment isnt great, Lin Lin & Westernight have given you solid advice there. Just on the sandwiches at lunch,go for wholegrain bread, rice or pasta when youre varying it up,same for dinner!

Joining a gym would be a great way to speed up your weightloss but a good diet should be enough if you make it a longterm thing!

    no.
the best time to burn fat is 1st thing in the morning before breakfast.
