In that case try somewhere like 60 Degrees North or the like. they sell climbing chalk in bags there but I don't think they sell the balls or the liquid stuff. Someone told me they did the liquid before but when I asked, the guy had never heard of it. It was like I asked for a chocolate teapot.

    53 Degrees North.
I picked up liquid chalk there a few weeks ago.
    Upstairs with the climbing gear.
They might have had balls too.

Yeah I could see him looking around for his workmates, I think he thought he was being sent for the retail equivalent of the glass hammer or the tartan paint.

    It is here http://www.myprotein.co.uk/products/accessories/liquid-chalk/
they have a search engine on the site, there is a discount code in my signature below £6.95 postage up to 26kg.

You can see the liquid chalk is just alcohol, chalk and "thickener" & scent, others were just alcohol & chalk. I keep planning on making my own, it needs to be high % alcohol so it evaporates off quickly. Just wiping your hands in alcohol will dry them as it evaporates away, so the liquid stuff works in both ways, drys your hands and then spreads chalk out evenly over them, also since it was liquid I expect it gets right into the fingerprint ridges all over your hands.

Other stuff is called tite grip which also contains anti perspirant, you can get mega strong antiperspirants in chemists, driclor & perspirex are 2 brands. Really good stuff.

Thanks, i was actually referring to the site that D'oracle mentioned, 53 degrees north, couldnt see chalk on that website.

Im not gonna use myprotein just to buy chalk, I've used them for years so that discount wont apply for me.

    Thanks anyway.

Ah, sorry, I see you were the one already saying you don't want liquid chalk. I saw it on ebay before, postage was expensive though. I got my chalk powder in a shop on liffey street, but in dublin city.

Strange that irish lifting don't do it.

Yeah i was in the gym today and got talking to the lads there and we were just saying that its crazy that there's no where within an hour's drive to get chalk!!

I'll be heading down to Cork next week so ill stock up on some there, its a serious pain trying to deadlift using a sweaty bar.

    Sorry OP.

I forgot about the website bit.
I saw roper mention it and assumed you were talking about shops.
