Davinci Haus??

Hi all,
Hope somebody here might have any info on Davinci Haus, a company who makes German prefabricated houses similar to Huf Haus. They have/had a show house in Waterford?

We are interested in building something similar to a huf haus, and it would be great to see examples/show homes without having to travel to the UK or Germany.

I have read old posts which give the web address www.davinci-ireland.com which is now redirected to a golf shop(?). Their main website www.davinci-haus.de does not give contact details in Ireland...

Also has anyone out there gone this German kit home route and what is their experience?

All thoughts advice appreciated!

Thanks for the heads up Lemonlime...

The cost saving on a huf haus was attractive though...

As it was more the design than the reduced time i liked and with all the talk of cut price labour and materials in the recession, maybe i would be better getting an architect to design something similar...

I was on http://www.davinci.ie and found an interesting link - German passive houses - lots of glazing!

I checked on that davinci owner's blog. They're advertising this German Passive House stuff there as well. Even the blogger's website is one of their domains. Considering the fact that they were the represantatives of davinci house and that you find posts about them everywhere lately- looks like commercial spamming. At least, that's what other people think:
