What are the essential ingredients for a great after hours thread. Post your thoughts and I'll review on Friday and see if i can come up with something that contains the top 10 elements.

It seems to me that it needs to be something that everyone can relate to on an everyday basis but still be capable of stirring some emotion;

there should be room for multiple double entendres;

I like threads that follow this kind of progression...

OP posts about some that annoyed them, usually fairly minor.

Posts follow, some mocking OP for getting annoyed over something minor, some explaining why the minor event may have happened.

OP returns, refuses to accept explanations, starts making wilder claims. At this point OP may start to accuse those who don't agree with them to be sheep, or blind.

More posts, more mocking.

OPs mask of sanity starts to slip, wild accusations start to flow. Bonus points for anything related to the New World Order, or claims of secret knowledge no one else knows.

Though I'm never sure if the OP is just trolling or genuinely believes what they post.

Still, I likes them threads like that, I does!

I reckon something that comes out of nowhere would be the perfect thread for me - there is an awful lot of repetitive threads / jokes on AH and when you see something odd / funny / oddly funny it's crackin stuff!

For e.g. who the hell posts a thread about sleeping with cousins???? :pac:

Granted all the above is true, AH is really the only place I've visited on boards where you get those rare moments of comic brilliance and are also put in touch with other such topics accross the web e.g. 3 Wolf Moon T-Shirt / Tuscan Whole Milk 1 Gallon, 128 fl. oz.
