Is the Player of the Year award just gonna turn into a sentimental award now?

I don't know where you got Anelka +6 at 22/1 for top scorer.

Paddy Power has him 14/1 at outright betting.

    My bets are as follows:

    Top Scorer:

    Anelka 14/1
    Gerrard 20/1
    Robinho 22/1
    Defoe 25/1

    PFA Player of the year:

    Lampard 11/1
    Rooney 11/1
Vidic 25/1 (bearing in mind I reckon United will have a huge emphasis on keeping it tight at the back this season).

    Relegation:

Get in heavy on Hull at 5/6
Pompey are currently 5/2 (I got them at 5/1 last month happy days!)

Hull to finish bottom at 4/1

    Champions:

    Liverpool at 10/3
Man City (shot in the dark) 12/1

    Crazy Bet:

    Christian Bentiez top scorer- 100/1

A.C. Milan to win the CL.

    20/1 with paddy power.

    Have 15 on it.

Being honest, inter at 11/1 is much better value and Juve at 25/1 is insane value.

you just know that if its in the balance at all then Rooney will edge it if he even has half a decent season at all.

Lampard has never won it so thats my logic behind that.

I can't see any Italian side winning it. But Juve for the league may not be a bad shout this year.

The winner will be one of Chelsea, Liverpool or Barca.

can ya explain to me how that particular handicap works?

he has to be within 6 goals of the top scorer?

I thought Anelka (+6) meant Anelka gets a 6 goal start and if hes within 5 of the top scorer then its a winning bet.

As far as I know The Handicap is add to all players at the end of the season
    So if
Anelka scores 30 he finish with 36 (+6)
Torres scores 35 he finish with 35 (+0)
Rooney scores 27 he finish with 32.5 (+5.5) and so on

Anelka has a six goal start on Torres yes but only .5 on Rooney and has -6 on someone like Crouch .
    Hope this helps.

sure does. sounds like a good bet to me. Better than 14/1 outright anyway. cheers for that.

Bologna 6/4 to get relegated seems like and absolute sure thing to me. Chances of Di Vaio getting 24 are slim to none. Also like Siena at +39 in the handicap betting and Pazzini to be top scorer at 50/1

    Mark Hughes to be sacked?

I've backed the following. Prices have since been cut.

Arshavin (each way) to be top goalscorer. - 35.0 at Ladbrokes.
Arshavin to score more than Van Persie - 5.5 on Betfred
Pompey to get relegated 6.0 on PartyBets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,377 ✭✭✭Warper

    I have backed:

    Chelsea - Premier League @ 9-4
    Juventus - Serie A @ 7-2
    Barcelona - La Liga @ 10-11
    Brazil - World Cup @ 5-1
Hull to be relegated @ 10-11
    Everton W/o Top 4 @ 5-1

I was thinking Rooney for top-scorer at around 12-1 but im not sure. Who takes Utd's penalties?

obviously its your shout but I would be amazed if Rooney was top scorer.
Defoe at 25/1 is good value.
    Robinho at 22/1
    and Anelka at 14/1.

Richard Dunne, first player to be sent off this season at 100-1 is a decent punt.

I know, I cant get enough of them - I just think Brazil are by far the safest bet. Come next summer I will have to paint myself yellow.

I like the long-term bets - over the course of a season, the best team normally wins.

Does anyone know who is Utd's penalty-taker this season?

Just heard it from a very reliable source that Matthew Upson will be a city player by the end of the week. Spartak Moscow have posted on their website that Radislav kovac has signed a permanent contract for the hammers and he will take upsons place with danny gabbidon back from injury to partner him. I've lumped on the 4/1 offered by sky bet as the price will be slashed very soon.

While keeping the captain out, and also having a £15m striker in Pavlyuchenko on the bench.

Can see a bit of rotation next year at Spurs, but can't see Keane out of the XI.

Yeah I've got Keane in my Fantasy team as I see him playing when fit. Wanted to stick Defoe or Crouch in but didn't know which one would start, I figured it'd rotate.

Of course not. It'll be back back and forth fouth between the 4 of them all season. Crouch will be Ghostface, Pavyluchenko Redman, Defoe GZA and Keane Ol dirty bastard.none of them will get a top goalscorer run in the team.

There should be value in 3 striker teams with no African nations commitments
