The Vera Duffy Classic Poker Tournament at the Sporting Emporium

Wednesday 19th August.


€20 "No Limit" Hold'em. No Registration Fee.

Unlimited €10 Rebuys + 1 x €10 Top-up.

Rebuy Period : 80 minutes (4 x 20 min levels).

Starting Stack : 2,000 (there will be no early bird chip).

Rebuys : 2,000.

Top-up : 3,500.

Clock : 20/25/30 minutes.

Doors open at 7.45pm for an 8.30pm Start.



The Structure.

25 - 50 - 20 min clock
50 - 100
75 - 150
100 - 200

15 minute break

150 - 300
200 - 400
300 - 600
400 - 800
500 - 1000
600 - 1200
800 - 1600

10 minute break

1000 - 2000 - 25 min clock
1500 - 3000
2000 - 4000
3000 - 6000
4000 - 8000 - 30 min clock
5000 - 10000



The Tournament Director will have the Final say.

All Tables will be dealt by professional dealers.

There will be Pot Limit and No Limit Hold'em plus Pot Limit Omaha Cash Games available from 10pm. The rake for a €50 sit down table is €4 per person per half hour.

If you would like to join on the day of this Tournament, only a valid passport or driving licence will be accepted. The Club is strictly over 21's.


All Tournament entries (€20) and Rebuys/Top-ups (€10) will go into the Prize pool.



Vera's Birthday is actually on Thursday 20th August so we'll have to have a BIG celebration come Midnight. There will be wine served with the food at the dinner break, spot prizes (to be decided), a big cake and maybe a few songs from Tom Kitt.

After speaking to Vera, we have decided that it will not be possible to reserve seats, which means the Club will only be able to run the Tournament on a first come first serve basis !

Just had to jog your memory, so i take it your also in for this? One or two faces alright out very own 5starpool and flushdraw, dont know Adrian Walsh that well played with him once or twice was watching him play 1k a box in blackjack one night in the SE :eek:

To gain admission on the night you will have to be a member.
You may become a member on the night by paying the membership fee of 25 EURO and providing you are 21 or over and can provide proof of age & id by a current passport or driving licence.

Hope anyone who knows Vera from the live poker scene comes along and help Vera celebrate her birthday with her family and friends they way she wants to.... sitting at a poker table, doing what she loves.

With all due respect, any free loaders please stay away. After last year she deserves a night not to be forgotten (in a good way this time)
