T.rex was a Big Bully

Giant meat eating theropod dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus, rather than being fearless warriors, were actually big bullies who preferred to pick on kids, according to the latest research.
Makes perfect sense when you think about it. Why risk live and limb fighting it out with a full grown angry Triceratops when you can just gobble up one of it's babies? Most modern predators do it, so why not dinosaurs too?

Dr. Oliver Rauhut, paleontologist at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, and his collegue Dr. David Hone surmise that giant carnivores like Tyrannosaurus preyed mainly on juvenile dinosaurs. "Unlike their adult and well-armed relatives these young animals hardly posed any risk to the predators," says Rauhut. "And their tender bones would have added important minerals to a theropod's diet.
