Do they work? I'm extremely sceptical as to how standing on a vibrating plate for 15 minutes can burn calories and fat...

My friend got one for a months trial a while back, I used it alot, I didnt really see a difference at all. It just makes your whole body itchy and makes your skin feel really tight. I'm not sure about the health effects either that could follow using it long term.

Basically its the lazy way to get fit.

I dont mind the lazy way haha, I just cant see it actually being able to get fit.

Thats what I figured. I'm working on the diet and trying to go for jogs and stuff at the weekend too, but one of my friends is doing them every week, and I havent noticed much of a difference on her, but I wasn't going to comment if they are actually supposed to work.

I hired a vibroplate 5 weeks ago (being returned today) and i used it a lot for the first while but tbh as someone already said, you get hot itchy skin afterwards and its really BORING,, now im not one for excersicing but this really was tooo boring for me,

it dosent help you loose any weight nor do they claim to, they simply are supposed to tone you,

I gave up using it after two weeks and wished I had just hired a threadmill or crosstrainer, somthing that would have made me feel like I was doing something productive to help me get fit and tone all together,,
Vibroplate is a lazy persons alternative,, however if interested in hiring one i still have the number of who I hired from 5 weeks €80.(send me PM) which is pretty good deal,,

How can you be more toned (i.e losing fat) without losing weight?

They mentioned these things on Ray Darcy (I think) yesterday, along with the claim that its the same as running for an hour or something, which sounds like complete bunk to me. Its hardly gonna improve your cardiovascular system standing still and jiggling, is it?

I tried one once, I thought it was an evil contraption that made my head feel funny.

After you use it says you burned a certain amount of calories. But the number was huge for 15 minutes. Like 500 or 600 or something. Theres just no way.

Not unless you are having sex on it.

You dont even need one. Just sit on the washing machine on spin cycle.

Looking for some info on these.. My mother has problems with her balance and struggles to walk, she also has very severe swollen ankles.. Would a vibro plate help to reduce the swelling in her ankles and maybe improve her ability to walk? I have some problems with restless legs, would using a vibro plate help me?? Thanks for any help

Everything needs much more than two weeks to work. There are plenty exercises you can do in your 10m on the machine that will make the time fly- I don't even notice the workouts and I simply do not get a chance to get bored on it- the time is too short. If anyone thinks just standing on it will do- it is very doubtful they will see any benefits. You need to flex ur muscles and the vibration increases the effect by 10 times- so you can achieve the same result as manually flexing them, but in shorter time.

I spent 480 euros on it... I have no regrets- it feels like it helps my back problems as well as toning. My husband's circulation improved dramatically after 1 week and he feels amasing. He is 50yo and used to be in a great shape doing free weights, but he loves this machine now and his definition starts getting better- you can really notice it. He uses free weights while on the machine.

A friend of mine hired one of these machines for 5 weeks and was extremely happy (and her first-so-sceptical boyfriend too BTW). She told me her love handles sucked in and she simply loved her jeans. Now we both are small women to start with, but that just means everything extra really shows. The only reason she didn't purchase one for her house is that she has a machine in work and can use it there for free.

Also, If anyone thinks I am promoting this machine for any other reason than personal joy from owing one can PM me and we can discuss it there. I posted smth on another thread and was absolutely lynched for defending this device. Please lets just discuss the vibroplate here

Hi, we are thinking of buying one for our 76yo mom, who has balance problems, arthritis and very bad circulation. I did massive research on these areas and couldn't find anything contradicting the statements that vibration training aids with all those conditions. Good luck
