How to lose a small amount of weight

I'm 5 ft 3, 9 and a half stone and want to lose a stone. I have been trying for over a year and am finding it extremely difficult.

The weight just seems to be taking forever to drop off. I think its because I am a relatively low weight, whereas more overweight people seem to be able to lose weight quicker.

Is there any tips on how to lose a stubborn stone, I eat healthily and do exercise, but nothing seems to be shifting.

What kind of exercise and what do you eat?

I cycle for around an hour every day and go swimming three times a week.

I'm a vegetarian so my diet usually consists of:

    Bowl of cereal
Soup or salad or sandwich for lunch
Vegetarian dish for dinner, either veg lasagne, veg rice dish, veg pasta, veg stirfry etc

I think maybe because I am a vegetarian I am eating too much carbohydrates?

Also do I need to do more intense exercise than what I am doing?

    I'm doing something wrong!

If you changed to a predominantly fat and protein based diet, and drastically reduced your consumption of carbohydrates, you would probably achieve your goal.
