VoIP provider for calls within Ireland

Hello,

I would like to sign up to a VoIP provider that provides quality calls to Irish landlines and mobiles, preferrably at a good cost. I am in Ireland; not really interested in an inbound number as I'll be using a softphone and won't always keep it on (people have my mobile anyway). I also don't want to pay for "unlimited" as I don't call landlines all that much - pay as you go preferred.

I have a voipcheap.com account. It is cheap indeed, but quality to Irish mobiles and landlines is quite bad. (It is better with some other countries, so it's probbaly notthe fault of my Internet connection). I guess other brands from the same company won't be much better.

I have found two providers billed as Irish - blueface and freespeech. Freespeech is significantly cheaper than blueface (though more expensive than voipcheap). Is it also significantly worse than blueface? Should I go with freespeech, blueface, or someone else if I want decent quality at decent prices?

Blueface call quality is excellent - I've been using them for years with an ATA and cordless DECT handset. Family members and visitors do not notice anything different compared to a standard landline phone. I'm on an unlimited UK and Ireland rate (not including mobile numbers) which I pay anually in advance. The OH is at home all day with young kids so it's brilliant for keeping in touch with family and friends etc and not worrying about phone bills.

I used Freespeech for a couple of years and had no problems.
I left them because they dropped the call in feature on the free account.

Currently with Blueface.
PAYG min €5
Nothing to lose in trying them except you need to use up the €5 on calls.

Calls to mobiles are not cheap but that is mostly not their fault.

I also have an Eircom landline so I do not use the VOIP for Irish landline numbers.

Call quality on both - good.

I also use MySIPSwitch for other VOIP accounts (such as voicheap etc) to allow people who have those contact numbers to call me on the same phone. It receives the call and forwards it to my Blueface number. Free service also.

Sweet setup; low cost; good service; easy to figure things out .... seem to be no hidden gotchas!

I've used BlueFace for four years now and they are great, but all Irish providers are stuck with the same high termination fees, so I see no benefit in using them for mobile calls (18 - 27c peak).
I've started using https://www.jumblo.com for my mobile calls at 5 cent per minute. It's part of the Betamax stable like Voipcheap and I find the quality fine.

i also use jumblo to ring irish number, once signup and topup your account you can get lots of country landline free which include Ireland as well.

Blueface is brilliant. Signed over to them a few weeks ago and the service is excellent. Their customer service is top class - the best I have received from any service provider.

I went with their World Package. Have a WRP400 in the attic connected to a 4 phone dect system. Their Go Mobile is great.

Other family members will be following me over to them.

And no - I don't work with Blueface.

With blueface too excellant service and saves me a fortune compared to the overpriced crappy service eircom provide.
