Love bringing up old catchphrases. My latest one is the 'Whassup?' from the old Bud commercial
Has anyone goat any other goofy out of place catchphrases for my reading and stealing pleasure?

Wassup was the most annoying catchphrase of all time.

I know i hated it back in the day, but think it's hilarious now, just like all the crappy 90s dance songs that i hated back in the day but love now, pure gold in a party. Back to the Bud commercial, i knew it had over stayed it's welcome when my dad started to use it. Although he had misheard and was going round for about 2 weeks shouting "HOW'S THAT!!!" at anyone he made eye contact with...the nob jockey.

Dude, if you think that's "old", you're obviously a member of one of the youngest generations currently using the Internet.

You might be able to get away with calling the Hill Street Blues or Diff'rent Strokes catchphrases mentioned earlier old. They're about as old as you likely are! (You just know some Garda shift briefings ended with "Let's be careful out there")

    NTM

Na i just mean old as in just off contemporary sayings, sayings that were de rigeur down the pub that thankfully drifted off but to bring them up now would just seem really uncool and not cool or retro!
Another example would be to go around quoting Ali-G or Borat.
    LAME!

Is that the ironic (think scrubs episode) or unironic (original bud ad) use of it?

Ironic use of it is kinda funny tbh.

That was the standard one but used he vary it a bit sometimes :)

    Also:
"Let's see what you coulda won" is a Bullseye catchphrase in a similar vein.
