Heart rate monitors

    I am trying to get back into the gym and thinking of getting a Heart rate monitor has anybody got any experience use one and any problems,what make do you recomend.

    Here's some from a recent Argos thread.

    those 2 special offers from argos don't have a chest strap, you have to touch the metal contacts on the watch / strap to measure your current pulse... so you pretty much have to stop what you're doing position your fingers in the right place and wait for a result...

    if using it in the gym, i'd go for one with a chest transmitter strap as you get ongoing feedback as you workout... you may also be able to get the reading picked up on compatible gym cardio machines too for display on screen...
