Trouble with my Green Beech Hedge

I planted a bare root green beech hedge last March
The plants were 2 - 3 feet so were strong enough going down
Im looking after them fairly well, watering and feeding them.
I even have horse manure around the base of them at the moment

Problem is ... even though they are thriving, some of the leaves on some of them have turned brown, like that part of the plant is dying ???
The rest of the plant looks really healthy, lovely green leaves.

Anone got an idea , is this the start of the plant dying or what ?
