53km - The second intermediate sprint was in Pre Saint-Didier at kilometer 106 was won by Ireland's Nicolas Roche from Vogondy and Verdugo. Now it is time for the final climb of the day.

Anyone got an interactive tracker? The one at tdf.sbs.com.au seems to be broken.

one min he is ahead of the GC boys, now it looks like he is behind them ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,414 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

Schlecks gave it all. Have they got anything left to try? Nearing the top now, not much time left to attack.

    Armstrong was superb there.

Just asked myself the same question, couldn't see him on the interactive in any of the break aways so I'm assuming he's in the main peloton

Aye. can anyone explain why some retards insist on running beside the cyclists, usually coming close to knocking them down - contador struck out at one or 2 on sunday when he was on his epic climb to the finish? I always thought it was a spectator sport, not one with an audience participation module.

Looks like Roche is in a 4-man group between the leaders and Contador's group.

Wasn't that a savage fall for Voigt?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,505 ✭✭✭✭DirkVoodoo

Nasty! It looked like there was a good deal of grit or sand at the beginning of the descent, I thought they normally had a rigorous street cleaning before each stage, or is that just in the towns?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,414 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

He was sliding rather than rolling which makes it a lot worse.

Roche was not in the peloton, he's in the first group of chasers. He's not far off joining the leaders.

Roche is in a group with 3 others, 20 seconds behind the two leaders on the descent. Not back in peloton.

Great chance for Roche if he can get across that gap.
