To lose Weight

    Hi,

    Need help with weight loss.

    Weigh approx 15 and a half stone, 5ft 10.

    Currently walking to work every day (45-50 mins walk), playing soccer twice a week and starting to go running as well. Try and hit the gym once a week or every second week but not always possible.

    Went from 16 stone to below 15 at xmas and weight seems to be increasing.

    Current diet would be:

    Breakfast Mon-Fri Weetabix (2)
    Sat Sun, boiled eggs with toast

    Lunch: Turkey ham cheese on brown bread of panini

    Dinner: Omelette or bacon & chicken and beans, no pasta potatoes rice etc

    Weekends would have some element of carbs...potaoes or maybe steak & chips.

    Would protein shakes help?

    Sort of p!ssin me off as I reckon diet is reasonably healthy and plenty of exercise.

    Any help/advice please.

    your diet is only fair IMO . you should replace the toast with fruit .. you need a have a LOT more veg in there also - at both lunch and dinner... Regarding the exercise, depending on your age + fitness levels walking might not cut it! - you need to shake things up a bit and challenge your body(while still enjoying it) ...
    Dont bother with the protein shakes, they wont help you to loose weight ...

    Age 30

    Exercise is walking to work plus 2 hours indoor soccer per week plus gym sessions when I can make it.

    Also play a bit of tag rugby and starting to go running once a week as well
