    I have a 50 inch pioneer pdp 503mxe, set up a dvd recorder using the components and can now use the pdp 503mxe as a tv but i've got picture and no sound can anybody help please.:confused:

    Component only carries video no audio! You will have to run the audio separately.

    ok, according to this the audio in is a stereo mini jack which looks like this

    So, you should have a lead that looks like this

    the 3.5mm mini jack (single connector) end goes into the audio "in" on plasma and the other end, red and white phono connectors go into the audio "out" on the dvd recorder.

    There is audio "in" AND "out" on the plasma so just make sure you select the right one and it should work?

    There maybe some setting in the menu of the plasma but the audio in is generally used for the component input.
