I worked my back yesterday as usual and everything went fine. I always pay special attention to this workout, as i would hate to get an injury here.

    BUT!

The next day someone hands my a small crate of beer to bring out to the car. As I take it, I immediately feel a strain on my right lat (I didn't lift it, it was given to me as I was standing). Is this because fact I was in recovery on my back, or is it just bad luck?

Plus, the real question I want to ask is how long should I rest for? It's not a BAD strain, but enough to make me cancel my usual weights today.

If its not a big deal then wait and see how you feel tomorrow. tbh I was expecting to see a story of a slipped disc or something in this thread, you shouldn't be laid up for long at all.

I'm no expert but just wait and see. I would imagine that if you'd done something serious you'd have known about it. I imagine I'm like anyone else in that every once in a while something just goes twang, not in a bad way but in a way that makes you notice and it lingers for a day or two.

If it hurts, don't train it would be the obvious advice. If it continues to hurt seek medical advice.

Cheers for the feedback. Just realising now that it seems terribly melodramatic. :o

I think I was just pissed off at the interruption to my routine. Still hurts alot this morning, but as Canis pointed out, I feel like I KNOW its not serious.

    Thanks again guys.

Rest up funky penguin. If pain persists go see a doctor. Good luck :)

Closing this as requires medical advice.
