Upcoming ipoker upgrade?

Got this from Will Hill, but I assume it's network wide?
Upgrade 1: Launch of GBP Tables

Many players have asked for GBP tables and we're happy to oblige - from the end of July, multi-currency tables will arrive.

Dollar tables remain, now alongside the option of Euro and GBP, removing the hassle of converting cash from account currency.

    Upgrade 2: Lobby Improvements

We've had the interior designers in and they've worked their magic, making the lobby clearer, cleaner and brighter.

Access to tournaments, tables, account info and side games are all enhanced, making it easier to find your game of choice.

    Upgrade 3: In-Play Improvements

Auto Top-Up allows you to define the level at which your cash game stack is replenished, making stack management a breeze.

The Hand for Hand mode combats slow play towards the end of tournaments when a significant increase in payout is in sight.

And the Tournament Time Bank is perfect for those moments when you need a little bit longer to make that crucial decision.

    what about resizable tables?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,822 ✭✭✭tipp86

Upgrade 3 looks the best imo.

What kind of effect will multi currency have?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

Believe it when I see it.

    more rake

Haven't got a mail from any iPoker skins (I have A/c's with 3 of them) although the one I play on most has the most woeful C/S so I wouldn't expect anything from them.

I presume if Will Hill have gone to the trouble of mailing all their customers, it must be true but as Cooker said, I'll wait until I see it working without any bugs before I believe it

Auto Top Ups sound very good but there are so so many other things that they could do.

Interesting to see how the multi currency tables play out

    more rake

As in if i play 50 nl now im paying dollar rake and when it turns euro il be paying more. Dont really like this at all like id rather it stayed dollar or else went fully euro.

    Im irritated now.

Of the 3, multi currency is the most likely to be Will Hill only ie their own non network tables.

Anyone who played on crypto/WH will remember that the GBP tables could be raked up to £3 instead of $3 but were much livelier and less nitty, so good players could win more (albeit with higher variance) and get more rakeback/bonus etc.

    what about resizable tables?

Defies logic if this is not in the update - if it is in fact going to happen that is.

In order to catch up to the other networks Playtech's plan is to release fewer updates over a longer period of time.

    Genius imo.

    Hope it dies.

If you want resizeable tables go here
    http://minimaxmod.com/

I know you have to pay for it but even so it will likely be better then when Playtech finally introduce it probably around the time of the London Olympics.

Really looking forward to this. Auto top up will be class.

When I opened my client this morning I felt sure today was gonna be the day and the upgrade would have happened overnight Sunday/Monday.

    Wrong! Sigh.

There is an upgrade on the way next month, as in August.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 145 ✭✭smcb

i noticed there were low limit sngs for $1, £1 & €1 last night on ppp

I dont think an upgrade will make any difference to ipoker. I haven't played on it for 8 months until last nite to brush the cob webs off to make the extra chips for the IPO .
Well it looks like i'll be starting the IPO with 8k as i wont ever play on the fkn thing again . It has to be the sh1tiest software ever invented or it just attracts every fkn retard ever born. It's totally ridiculous the sh1te that it throws up . And b4 the all the crappy come backs start on here . I know it happens live all the time , but not at the rate these fkrs throw it at you.

I will gaurantee you tony that i definately wont be going broke on any ipoker site. That has absolutely no reflection on Boyles as i am looking forward to the IPO and think its one of the highlights of the year. It's just a pity that they use that sh1te crap retarded software.

What exactly do people find wrong with iPoker these days??

The only thing id like to see in this update is preferred seating, if i had that id be entirely happy with it.

Im sure other people have plenty of reasons.... but the lack of re-sizable tables is criminal

Isn't there software you can download to give you re-sizeable tables?

Yeah i use minimaxmod which if you play a lot of hands is a must have investment, its made playing on iPoker way better for me.

Re-sizeable tables and card and table mods, shortcuts etc.

There is very little wrong with it a few minor things but nothing major, just some people obviously cant handle variance or really suck at poker and will blame anything but themselves and their short comings as a player, they are to be pitied really poor souls they should take up kniting or something a little less taxing on them :p

I couldn't work out how to make minimaxmod work! I'm a luddite and just found it impossible to figure out, and the pidgin-English instructions hardly help. And I don't think it works on most laptop screen resolutions as far as I know.

I just make do with iBolide.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

The cards being too small is my major problem, takes far too much effort while 10 tabling. The site constantly being down doesnt help. Id say theres at least 6 networks with better software.

Yes it attracted me for about 10 mins to play a $5 sng and then i realised why i quit playing on it 8 months ago. Its just amazing the amount of times that you can get your money in ahead only for ipoker to throw up runner runner to some idiot who shouldnt be in the hand anyway.
And in answer to premierstones comments about the shortcomings as a player , maybe he's right . But it just doesn't happen on any other site at the rate that ipoker throw it out.

Its not too hard to figure out, the 2+2 thread is helpful in setting it up.

minimaxmod also makes the cards way bigger in mini table mode, it really makes it so much more playable, best 30 bucks you'll ever spend if you play on it a good bit.

I play a fair bit on ipoker and would agree with this. Auto rebuy in cash games would probably be the other thing i'd like to see coming in.

I play a lot there and the minitables dont bother me 4 tabling.

Auto top up would be a god send i must say i cant stand going below $50. If im under $49 i have to top up which is annoying for the first 20 minutes or so.

The trick is to get your money in behind. It's great, runner runner straight/flush/full house, whatever you need. :D

Yeah, once you invest in various software add-ons it actually isn't too bad. When you first get it unmodded then it's fairly terrible
Main thing I would like is a timebank. On turbo tables it would make life easier

Right, so you are not actually complaining about the software but about too many beats....

I have a script for auto top up if you need it.. I have it programmed to my thumb button on my mouse and it's now an auto reaction to top up

PM me if you want it

Im not complaining , Im saying that im not playing on it anymore because it's sh1te software keeps rewarding retards when they make ridiculous calls from a million miles behind only for ipoker to say here you go have a runner flush for you retardedness. Please call again

Do you really think cards community cards are dealt based on players holdings when all in??

No i dont think that at all . It just happens a lot more on ipoker than other sites. Eg: I raise utg with AKs the button calls , flop(Ah Kd 9d) I lead a pot sized bet , the button min raises and i go all in and the button snap calls with 4s4d ???:D only to hit running diamonds:eek:. Does that seem nutural to you?? Maybe it is maybe it isn't . Is it wrong for me to vent my anger and dissapointment in this way.

Hopefully they'll get their act together and carry out this update asap but iPoker are renowned for being slow in general.

    As well as previously stated...

    -Ante cash games.

-Ability to tile, cascade etc. at the click of a button.

    -Synchronized MTT breaks.

There are programmes that can sort out some of the minor headaches but it would be nice if they would incorporate them into the software.

What the game quality like? I found 20nl very soft, but that's 20nl. what would 50nl-200nl be like?

I think the key things to take from this thread are:
1: Ipoker software still sucks terribly
    2: Updates are slow
3: The software is designed to allow fish to hit their runner runner flushes or runner runner anythings, whatever will do to win the hand

I think 3 is the most important fact to be gleaned from this thread. Just like DAMO, I'm not suggesting its rigged, just that there are a lot of bad beats on ipoker, the retards always win.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 938 ✭✭✭Grafter

IDK, but I really agree with this...I have played fulltime for the last 2years and the majority has been on Ipoker...I remember back to my stts days and the amount of AIPF hands that were won by a str8 or flush were too much to be true...I def think there is a diff between FT and Ipoker but hey Iv nothing to complain about...what Id like to know is there anyway to datamine as many showdown hands as possible and seek the evidence...I know its bs but would be interesting...

I think that either the OP was a level or WillHill were actually naive enough to believe playtech when they sent in their change requests on joining the network and got the standard "thats in the next update coming in 2-3 weeks" template they send all the skins.
