    Ireland....

I wonder sometimes where that name actually came from, and if it's really appropriate for our rain-lashed rock?

I mean, I think the Roman name for our this spot of green and grey was the best. Hibernia, the 'wintry place'. I mean, it's pissing rain outside in mid-summer. It's pissing rain outside in winter, the only difference is, the rain is warmer or colder.

Any other worthwhile names for this toilet of a country?

    wintry place lol

you been to any proper wintry places like greenland, finland or siberia?? guess not, even german or czech winters make this country look like a freaking sauna, i would like to see what this country would look like if it was -18C for a few nights  we barely ever get snow in this country, wintry place my a*se

So we're just going with crude names with no actual connection to ireland then?

    fine by me.

I suggest The Democratic Republic of C*nt-rag.

I'm thinking the japanese flag, but messier :pac:.

How about just leaving it as it is. Ireland is a class name, plus if ya think about it, 'Our Land'-'Ireland' -ya cant do that with many names of countries ya know.

As regards our weather, you should be all glad the our country isn't called Chile or Iceland...the tourist industry would be gone to the dogs, if that was the case.....

Isn't it called Republic of Ireland though? Even if we just got rid of "Republic of" (the words, not the 800 years or whatever ... lol ) and any reference to "Eire". Ireland would be perfect on it's own.

    ire (r)
    n.
Anger; wrath. (according to a random online dictionary...

Who decided to call us the land of anger?! (bet it was the English..)

So yeah, we should change it! And be angry no more:D

And also to stop Americans from saying ay-er-land.
