Are we confident tonight lads ?

I am going to risk playing WNWIM so that I can get a boost for my players CSR.

Playing against a human team that hasnt been logged into in over a month.

Hope I dont live to regret this one.

Im WNWIM against same sort of team. I wonder if any Boardies will make it any length in the cup. We can use this as a sort of progress report

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭Orizio

Playing normal with mediocre energy levels, could be tight.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,325 ✭✭✭Frankiestylee

    WNWIM boosts your CSR? Hmm?

Totally forgot this was happening! I was travelling all day yesterday, thought it was still Tuesday! Fear I'm going down!
Ironically the team that'll probably beat me are named after the place I was travelling from. Damn you Leipzig Rugby!

Edit : Ah poo. Just checked and as I feared I'm starting my original 3 week old team. This is going to be a tough one.

    Im losing 26-17

Brilliant handling but Lavis has been pulled down by his shorts! A moment for the ladies in the crowd there, as Lavis reveals the true meaning of 'tackle'

    Ha Ha

    Yeah I am getting hammered.

Dont understand it at all really.
They are such an inferior team it's not funny.

Gonna be bored off my t1ts for the rest of the season now.

    Aw **** losing 22-33

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,325 ✭✭✭Frankiestylee

Quite an exciting match, and I was getting ready to come on here and tell a tale of how we just scrape a win against a superior side...

... that was until 3 minutes left in the match when the other guys got the try they had been working for all game.

In the last minute of the match my lads were on a run, the writing went blue, we were in for the try that would have won it... and a knock-on. Game over.

10 - 6 and we're out of the cup. Shiz.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,238 ✭✭✭Gelio

    I lost 22-33

    11 knockons
    3 Forward passes
    7 penalties conceded
    38 missed tackles
    13 handling errors

    I screamed at the computer:eek:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭Orizio

    Won 19-31.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,817 ✭✭✭corny

Won 26-0. A cup run would be a great boost to the finanaces. Heres hoping for a good draw.

The Gnomes scrape through to the next round on a scoreline of 18-15, playing normally.

Too many handling errors for my liking though, no matter how much training goes in!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭Orizio

If you played WNWIM and he played normal, then that, a long with your team's dodgy handling, explains it.

The actual worth of playing WNWIM has been significantly reduced with the new intensity changes, you now receive injuries and less CSR for playing WNWIM along with the far inferior performance. Unless you are playing a bot or simply don't care about the result, play normally, wihch is what the game developers want anyway.

Won 22 - 40, through to next round, happy days!

Also how are you guys putting the stats in? when i coy and paste it comes out in big boxes...

Ha, well at least you get to go out in style, I got beaten by a team who have one player over 10000 CSR and I have two players over 20000

    Which team is it?

Darkside, check them out & let me know what you think! I'll be scouting them in their next game or two!;) (hope they are not on boards!)

Well my highest is 15k csr but i have quite a few jsut below, but a good chunk of my main starting team is below 23, so in a season or two I am hoping to have moving nicely up the CSR scale!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,238 ✭✭✭Gelio

Oh wow, Darkside cowboys. Managed by RRos, he is a well known manager on the offsite.
The good news is he has his players numbers on them so you can see their positions and the teams weaknesses
The bad news is the team doesn't have any weaknesses, its lowest CSR is 35000 and the outhalf has 101000 CSR.
At least thats something you can tell the grandkids :D

    Good Luck

I think I can say that his out half has more CSR than my whole team...:(

well least I wont be one of the teams whimpering out to a lower team!:D but does give my players more of a rest when the boards cup starts up, was looking mon - friendlies, tues - boards cup, wed - blackout cup, sat league! think the friendlies may have to have been cut!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,238 ✭✭✭Gelio

Does the blackout cup start this tues or the tues after?

Not sure if you have reviewed the game you lost but this happened as the last play of the game..........

Quicksilver feet by MacCaron as he jags off his left foot twice to beat first Mafileo, then Sutton! He lobs the ball over the top to Schiavone who flicks it on to Boteanu. Schiavone doubles around him to take the return pass. He fends off the despairing challenge of Doohan and now Schiavone is in the clear! Just as Schiavone goes over the line, a crunching tackle sends the ball flying out of his control. There are looks of disbelief among Scorched Earth supporters as they have to cut off their celebrations in mid-flow! No try!

If that was my team, I'd have gone mental !! A defeat by two points !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭Orizio

I didn't see it actually, missed the match completely. Bit of a pain, I'm inclined to think the opposition LTNT'ed me, the sneaky bastard. ;)

It was a lot of fun trying to juggle your squad for three matches a week - really added to the game.

Mine are in Division IV - just like me so hopefully my run will continue now that I saw off a team winning their division III!! :D

But you could come through it also if I did! Since my team is nothing too special really!

If you have an easy game or two then LTNT both games and then rest players and play with lower intensity. I was lucky playing a team in the bottom section in the league after my cup match so could afford LTNT and then rest players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 813 ✭✭✭dave13

unfortunately i am in the bottom section of my league after playing the 3 best teams in the first 3 weeks, really need to win the next 4 to have any shot at a playoff at all.
