Lads quick question. Im getting my first bit of ink today, on the inside of my top left bicep. Do I get it put on when Im relaxed or flexing, and if its relaxed, whatl the effect be if I flex?

Also if my biceps grow more (which please God they will), will the tat end
    up stretched out or what?

Anyone here have any tats in places where the skin stretches alot due to flexing? Thoughts?

You might get some really good advice in the tattoo forum.

    However you asked here.

i'd advise against the tattoo if i was you. idk maby yur getting a 'tat' to be 'cool' or to 'fit in' but you'll notice the best don't have tatoos and in my experience people with tatoos use steroids and other illegal substances.

lol.. Funniest post I've ever read (well not really, its actually pathetic).

OP, the tattoo artist should be able to advise you also. They'll want your return business so provided its a reputable artist I'd go with his advice.

Finally D, your welcome to critque a photo but unless your willing to put up then don't mock it.

Helpful post there man. Grow up will ya.

OP, could you get them to draw it on for you so you can see what it looks like. I've heard people do that when their unsure about what to get and want to "try it out" first. Then you'd be able to see the effect of flexing.

Alot of the polish lads in my old gym had class tats and they were massive. If there's any lads in your gym with them maybe you could have a word. Haven't got any myself, was planning on it for a while but was too broke, then just grew out of the idea. Might get one in the future though.

+1 on reposting this in the tattoo forum as well if you didn't already..

Does this interesting fact also apply to people with tattoos who don't go to the gym?

Reverting back to secondary school biology. I don't think your skin stretches if you get bigger, you grow new skin. So the tattoo shouldn't move. If you get really big really fast (ala pregnant woman, weight gain from medication) you'll get stretch marks because the skin hasn't been able to grow quick enough. In that case the tat might stretch. But you'll ahve stretch marks too. I think that's how it works.
