    Hello,

Ok I've made a few posts on here before but I want to get some feedback from people who've lost quite a lot of weight. I'm male so I guess replies from guys who've been in a similar boat would be appreciated.

Anyway I'm male, 32, 5ft 10 and I weigh 242 lbs which I think works out about 17.5 stone. As a result I've got the dreaded man boobs and big belly which kind of droops over my belt although which seems to be much worse when I'm in the nip.

I've lost some weight before, even got down to 14.5 stone and while I was smaller as a result, I still felt like I was a lifetime away from getting a flat stomach and chest. I think a healthy weight for my height is about 11 stone but I often remember looking at myself at 14.5 stone and thinking "I'm 14.5 stone now but getting to 11 stone still won't shift this belly or man boobs".

I guess I'm looking some re-assurance that what I'm trying to achieve is actually possible. I guess I sometimes feel like no matter how much weight I lose, it's not going to be possible to get rid of those dreaded big man boobs and belly.

Like I said, if there's any guys who've been in the same boat and had success, I'd be interested in hearing your stories.

    Cheers.

If you've got the motivation and good advice on training programmes and nutrition it is definitely possible.

I have dropped three and half stone in the past , I went from 16 stone down to 12 and a half at one point.

It ain't easy but it's possible

It is possible. I`m 33, 6 footer. I went from 16 stones to 13 last year. Then I realized I was too skinny ( best day of my life :D ). So I gave up smoking and started resistance training and now I`m on 14.5 stone, waist 34 inches.
I would recommend to do weights straight away. For first 3 months I was only doing cardio. Cardio is fine but only with weight training you can get great results.
