Pullup bars, where to get a good one?

That is a solid piece of equipment but doorway chinups bars are generally annoying and have limitations - one of these is that you can't hang fully extended from a doorway chinning bar.

A 5 foot barbell spanning an attic access hatch might be a better and cheaper solution.

Have to agree here. My friend and I use a barbell across the attic from time to time and it's just as good. €60 is a ridiculous amount of money for a pull-up bar, in my opinion.

Yeah I have an inverted rack identical to that. Fantastic bit of kit and solid as once in place. I bought mine online from Amazon, worked out slightly cheaper than the one you have.

I have just got a new brand of doorway gyms which have a slightly cheaper design and I can sell for 40 euro. They are a brilliant piece of equipment for building biceps and lats.

Are there any ones around that'd be suitable for student rented accommodation, i.e. ones that don't need to be drilled into a wall or somesuch?

:edit: Just noticed the one for sale on adverts is perfect.

I'm looking to get a pullup bar to have at home, but don't know where to get one, or which ones are good or crap. Anyone have any experience with them?

    Would this be any good?

You don't need to screw that one in. Its inverted, just slips into place over the door and you take it down when your finished. :)

Thats the basic iron gym, its great for neutral grip pullups but not for wide grip. It actually amazes me that for close grip they have the grips on that bar, they have no idea how a cantilever works, the way they do it your whole weight pulling down is on the little architrave on the back of the door!

What I am selling is the Iron Gym Extreme which has extra grip positions for wide grip.
