Firstly, I love free e.books. I was on Stronglifts.com and was surprised to see that your man gives out his book for free, happy days!

Anyone ever try this program. I'm trying to loose weight and gain muscle and might give this program a go.

In my opinion, provided your diet is right, its a great way to lose weight.

Is that program not just Starting Strength's illegitimate bastard cousin?

Depend on your diet, tbf. If you are trying to lose fat, then you will only get modest strength muscle gains.
If you are eating to gain muscle, you will get tronger, bigger, but only have modest fat loss.

I'm convinced had Rip called Starting Strength something else like "Get hooooge mad quick" or something similar it would get more followers. People get turned off SS because of the word Starting but are happy to do a near identical program called StrongLifts. Go figure.
