Why is he grinning like a loon?

He's very giggly and smiley tonight altogether. Makes you wonder what exactly he's been eating lately.

I'm sticking with my earlier guess of chutney.

Why has nbody said cabbage yet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,329 ✭✭✭Agonist

Cabbage is gone, as are all the obvious vegetables.
He says "a food type". That narrows it down a bit. I remember they were looking for a common girls name and it was something like Lydia. The answer mightn't be that weird.
    Nothing springs to mind.

And the other one is Cashews.

I have to go at 3. Will some kind person post up the answers and how much money was won?
I think they'll be holding onto that €7,500 for another day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,157 ✭✭✭dangerpowers

This excuse for a program is now worse than before September 2nd (probably before), at least then on several occasions, regardless of 2.5 hours passing without a call on simple spot the differences - thay at least gave the money away (we hope), now FCUK all is given away..... unless someone catches them off guard

    CASHEW NUT and CHEESE BURGER!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,157 ✭✭✭dangerpowers

I'm surprised also that cheeseburger was an answer, same with cashew nut,

I guess they know that ambigious answers will be looked for so probably stopped using them for the moment,

still in :eek::eek::eek: regarding them answers

    Well done!

It's a bit unfair that cheese burger was an answer considering that they had Cheese and Cottage Cheese on the list. It could have been anything - cheese straws, cheese biscuits, cheesey fries etc.

Ah well. Maybe they'll be able to afford their rent next week.

    Night all

Sounds like they are playing for time.

Perhaps they asked the BCC to delay the decision for a moment.

It would nice to know what issues are in need of further consideration.

I expect they will monitor this show, and that can only be a good thing.

No, I think it's been deffered because they have had so many complaints, that they are going to deal with all of them in the one meeting.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,476 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

It seems like a fudge to me.

My complaint was straightforward and concise. TV3's reply was complete spin. I can't see a reason why they would defer other than the fact they want to drag the Hungarians into the whole process.

TV3 have not responded to my second complaint about the first money belt from the 14th of August. I have emailed the BCC to force adjudication but no response from the BCC has yet been received. Something does not sit well with all this.

Now that I know the type of answers they're looking for I won't be ringing in again!

Did anyone win? I doubt it somehow.

That would be harder than solving one of their puzzles.
As long as the show is on air there will be complaints coming in.

    Catch 22.

Did you include 2 for an unmentioned tour guide?

    here's how i arrived at 2148:

    1 Person = 2 Legs
    4 (Cats) x 4 (Legs) x 6 (Baskets) = 96 Legs
    5 (Kittens) x 4 (Legs) x 4 (Cats) x 6 (Baskets) = 480 Legs
    TOTAL PER PERSON = 578

    4 named People on the bus = 4 x 578 = 2312 Legs
    1 Bus Driver = 2 Legs
    1 Tour Guide = 2 Legs
    From Bus Picture = 26 Legs (6 Cats (24 Legs), 1 Person (2 Legs))
    GRAND TOTAL = 2342 Legs

Casey & Darcy get off = 4 Legs
    Casey & Darcy's cats get off too = 192 Legs (96 Legs x 2)
The Kittens remain on the bus (similar to a previous puzzle - don't know why!)

    2342 - 4 - 192 = 2146

    Mary gets on = 2 + 2146 = 2148

I've two theories where to find the remaining 2 legs:
    1. I miscounted the cats/people in the bus picture.
    2. Mary is infact a cat and not a person!!

    Hope this helps!!

Mary is infact a cat and not a person.
    The most likely answer.

Seems to me that they have kicked for touch on this one. I'm
not sure if the omens are good.

They will have to make a decision, I will keep pressing them.

They must be seeking legal advice.

  • Registered Users Posts: 357 ✭✭3nero

seems like the BCC are stalling for time.
time to build a stronger case

instead of your complaint being one point at one meeting
it's now going to be part of many points at a special meeting

maybe your complaint on it's owns could have lead to a large fine for TV3/Playtv, but all the complaints together could lead to the show being fined and/or being banned altogether.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,157 ✭✭✭dangerpowers

Ok I was wrong about another 2 weeks wait!

but seemingly and unfortunately I could be right about nothing being done, I cannot really believe the BCC require more time to make a decision, somehow TV3/Play TV look like they have made a deal to buy more time with this rubbish been shown. The change in methods on Play TV in taking more calls but ever impossible random misleading answers is just a cover up to allow the BCC more time to review. I'd rather the BCC force closure on TV3 altogether for their rubbish excuse for TV programs, we already have UTV for that crap, we don't need duplication on TV3.

    No!
I can see 5 cats in picture.
I can see 1 person (driver).
