Current Gym Prices Around D2

The Gym Reviews sticky is 40 pages long, dates back several years, and covers a broad range of topics, so I hope youll forgive my asking for recommendations/price info for Dublin city gyms explicitly here.

Im wondering what membership is currently costing around the Temple Bar/D2 area. The websites dont give any price info, presumably so I go in to ask, but its having the opposite effect!

Also what does a session with a trainer typically cost? Im looking to start some real exercise and figure a few sessions with a trainer to begin might be a worth while investment.

    Thanks.

You could try calling them either?

Dunno prices exactly, but i know Raw on south richmond st currently have (or recently had) some sort of special offer. I am paying a special opening offer student so mine is dirt cheap (€29) but generally they are a lot more reasonable than many of their competitors, great gym and good staff.

I thought I was paying too much at €540 (includes, all classes & 25m swimming pool) a year! Well I am compared to the likes of Ben Dunnes McGym but that's crazy moneys!

Good time to be bargaining with gyms.

That aside, I was paying €62 per month in a well known gym a couple of years ago and was shocked when I got talking to a friend and he told be he was paying something like a €450 (one off payment) per year.

I joined the Markevich (spelling?!) just behind Pearse street fire station. €360 for the year, full access to the gym, classes and the pool, thought it was fairly good

I think they still do 'pay as you you go' so you can try it out and see if you like it before you join.
