I'm exhausted though. So Saturday is fine.

What's wrong with knowing the name of some flowers? I knew what they looked like but didn't know their name. I said I really liked the poet's use of metaphors such as how she compares the leaves to fingers. Yeah, what the hell was I thinking? :o

Hey! My Literary Genre essay was 100% new material! Waffling on about how the element of surprise helps narrate the story. My texts were the most boring texts ever with practically no surprises. I had the dreaded Pride and Prejudice. (Mmmmmm Mr Darcy....... *drools*)

I wish my mum liked flowers. Then I'd try to learn stuff from her. I think it might be looked down upon by society, if I kidnap your mum =/

EDIT: Omg!!! So cute!!!! I just feel like stroking it. ^_^

    coz I'm not a girl but I am but....I dunno :P

She sounds like a flower doctor when she's talking :/ It's a really bad kind of nerdy.
And the fact that she talks to me about it like I care or I like I understand
Should hear her going on about what a ridiculous idea it was for the neighbours to plant such n such in such n such a place because of such n such /sigh
'yeah mom, those absolute imbeciles >_>'

    take her, take her please.
/prays her friend is on the bus so I won't have to endure bus conversation with her :pac:

    She's sooo soft :)

But you will miss this >_>

Not as much as the 3-legged cat and not coz of the gimmick element, that cat loved me!

Omg! I got the highest in my year! :)
I'm still saying it though, if I don't get my first choice some people in the CAO are having their heads chopped off!!! >_<

    I got 570 :)
I've said it to you already, that is an amazing score to get, and congratulations! :D:D I can only imagine the amount of points you'd have gotten if you had answered As Gaelige...

You'll be off sleeping as I type this, so when you wake up at least you know...it rained HARD while you were out!! Probably a good thing you postponed then:)

i know, its very hard, theres a lot to think about but it is doable, there is plenty of student accommodation and youd probly be in a house with other student (friends sorted!) plus theres boards, if you go to dublin, there is a load of us here for meet ups etc.

just make sure your not cutting out options because you think itll be too hard :)

ye I'd agree, I know when I was picking where to go, the further away from home the better :P I could have gone to Maynooth and everyone at home still continues to lecture me about the money I could have saved if I went there but honestly I'd much rather be in the city centre, it's good to get out on your feet and there's always lots going on. It was hard paying for it and I never got a grant etc but I would crack up if I had to stay at home.

And if you really are unsure what to do this year, don't stress, you have plenty of time to decide, I would have loved a year off before I started college to save money and you could really get your head around what you want to do.

Hope you're happy with your results :)

After my leaving cert, which didn't go at all as I planned, I did a course in Rathmines. I couldn't afford to move out and I struggled with the travelling but it was worth it.
I'm living in maynooth 10 years and I'm going to the college there now. I love it, it's very handy and I love it!
I'm probably going to move out soon, but I don't have the money right now. Hoping to be made permanent in my job and it would be perfect, but nothing I can do right now.

Well done genius!!!! That's a brilliantly fantastic result!!!
    Hope you get your course!!!

    That's so scary!

I woke up in the middle of a nightmare. Again. At least this time I wasn't screaming my lungs out! Think positive and all that right?
    Jesus...

On the other hand, I get to have home made pizza for breakfast. Yay!

I could've gone to a house party as well, but by the time I got invited I was too tired to care and decided that sleep would be a much better option. Sure there's always parties around anyway, and I don't seem to sleep that often >_>

Wondering how Kelly's bf and sis did :)

If you've seen the new Batman movie you'd probably find it funny...though maybe not!

I used to get nightmares years ago along with sleep paralysis, it was because of a prolonged lack of sleep >_>

But I made myself sleep more and slowly but steadily got rid of them:) Think positive aye!

I'd say there were alot of house parties last night, your area always has one going on somewhere! Sleep was good though, you sure needed it :D

Pizza for breakfast, homemade at that...sounds real nice:D

Wondering that myself, lets hope they did good:)

The only difference between sleeping more and sleeping less (for me) is that I remember less of the nightmares. But I have more mental energy if I sleep less. I'd rather have a clearer mind than a sluggish lazy body which is what I get if I sleep longer.

I tried to wake up at 7 every day of the summer after 4th year. While it wasn't too bad and I had loads of energy and stuff, it was very clear that I'm naturally nocturnal. I just feel better that way.
Also, nothing annoys me more than dealing with people right after I woke up. Ugh.. family...

Meh I need to somehow find out the opening hours for the FÁS office in Clondalkin, which I forgot to check when I was around there today, and which made my mum double annoyed after knowing that Dec gave me a lift. Really sucks =( I *could* ask people, but... meh

    EDIT: Found them yay

Well its been proven somewhere that men need only 4 hrs of sleep in one session to function normally, I think its like 5 and a half for women but definitely do-able:D Best that you remember better times anyway, none of the nasty stuff our minds can create without control.

Even better that you found out sooner that you are actually Nocturnal and didnt wonder why you were like that for years:) I cannot deal with people once I wake either...I need 10 minutes to clear my head first which is why I set my alarm for 10 mins before I wanna get up:p

At least you got there...she'll be alright and so will you, no need to worry :)

i really believe in the theory of flow. Ha ha, should get a good hearing here on the hippie dippie, tree huggin level 5 vegan forum ;)

There's a sociologist[/hippie!] called Csikszentmihalyi who believes that people all have different 'peak' times of the day, and that we would be happier and more productive [work/art/family etc] if we were able to find those peaks and use them. Myself, i don't need much sleep and i'm as happy in the early morning as i am at night, but i really believe there are people who genuinely shouldn't work 9-5. I know there's loads of reasons why business's generally operate in these hourse, but there's plenty of people who could be working more flexibly and more productively from 12-8 say, or through the night, and that should be supported. Damn the Man!

here/s 2 links that explain it better than i can!

I believe in it too. That's exactly why I did my little sleep time experiment :) It's also why I draw at night, I hope to work independently and can only be fully compatible with a nocturnal guy.

It seems like most people are more productive in the morning or the middle of the day though.
