Was that not the name I was to give you, that you chose? :p:) You can be a baby, they are supposed to be lovely, kids are not lol!

Oh i thought you were *only* having caipirnhas...my mistake:D And spread out over the night...whats not to like...they have nice food there too if you are getting some:)

Ah yeah I wouldnt just assume so, you'll get home anyway:)

But if they ask you for tutoring, then they must not know what you know hehe! I agree about the job thing though, very de-motivational that!

Actually ignore the wax, its the shellac to be worried about...silly me :(

I'll put the name of those jellies up later, gonna need to go offline for an hour or so...

That is quite cool actually...does it taste anything like a store-bought version?

Heading off for a while to watch The Big Bang Theory, back in an hour or so:D

But kids ARE lovely!!!!! I adore kids. Oh and I'm a very good babysitter, if someone needs my services haha.

I'd be dead if I only ever got caipirinhas there. They make them quite strong and my liver would probably not survive. I've only ever eaten in a Hard Rock Café in Spain, and only because of family friends, years ago. It's not the first place I'd think of when I'm hungry.

I think they add vanilla to some brands of almond milk. I can't remember because I haven't bought it in yearsss.

Well I think my nieces are lovely, thats about it:D I dont think any of us have kids yet though, your services will remain stagnant for the moment:pac:

Ahh yeah you said how good they make them, so I assumed you would have maybe 3 of them, and then something else:) The food is not bad, ate there for my bestie's 21st, she was right in that the food is nice, and she's vegan!

Oh I think one night you'll be brought to the wonderful Indian place we go to after drunken beers on weekends;) You'll crave that drunken delishious food after that whenever drinking:D

    I'll look into that so!

Those youtube clips = good music:)
    Eurovision right?...so wrong:p

    Seen that CSS vid earlier today...awesome! :D k/d ratio = ∞ hehe
    Ewww @ sax man.
    +1 :D

I need a nighttime meal suggestion...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭entropi

Quesadillas? shouldnt take long, will always taste good:)

Cold food...maybe carrot sticks with a dip. A tortilla wrap with pesto, chopped peppers, diced onion and tomato? add in other ingredients if you need to fill it up more...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

=( I don't have any wrappy type things. I *could* make tortillas, but it's a bit late to be messing with flour. *Sigh*

I think I'm gonna make savoury pancakes and sorta roll them around vegetables. Thanks =]

Or I might make polenta. Hmmm....

Well if they can hit the spot and stop you being hungry, then go ahead :D By now you'll have eaten them all and be satisfied from food ^_^

Just realised how long it is since last reply...oops!:(

If you've gone to bed, then NN 'lil baby :)

I remembered the Philadelphia cheese thing I was trying to remember earlier today. Cream cheese wonton thingies lol

    *Is happy with her food*
    If you've gone to bed
    Me? Never!!!!
Well, I'm on my bed, if that counts.

I'll probably sleep at 8am or so anyway.

I remember...and that sounds nice if a cream cheese fan:) You right now = ^_^

Thought you might have had a regular sleep tonight haha! Did you have a siesta earlier today as you were really tired from proof reading etc?

Yes it counts ofc, it's close enough :) 8am is good anyway!

I'm getting hungry-ish but it more than likely means I'm thirsty, gotta love the way the body tricks you into eating if you are thirsty and most people dont realise the subtle difference:p I know the underlying actions are different, but physiological needs can be different lol.

I may get some water, maybe a muller yogurt...maybe!

Are you keeping busy tonight? satisfied with your work earlier today?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

    Siesta? No!!!!! Ugh.

I'm in the happiest mood ever. Bf stuff ^_^

Also, stupid Arcade Fire livestream. I couldn't sleep even if I wanted to. Wake up ^_^

Hate to admit it but I've had a huge crush on Régine Chassagne since Funeral =/

    No likey....kk :)

Ah I'm happy to see that! if you use the ^_^ then it must be really good:)

Yeah I was gonna look at a bit, stupid stream buffering irritated me so I just put on some music here :D

    She's appealing aye!

What do you think of this study in the link?

Staring at boobs promotes longer life apparently

I wasn't gonna click on it, until I realised I had the laptop in the kitchen. >_>

There were no buffering problems here. My bf and I have this sort of pact that no matter what, if Arcade Fire or QOTSA come to Ireland we absolutely must go see them together, even if we've stopped talking for whatever reason.

Did you get food/drink in the end?

    Lol @ article. There's 2 possibilities there:

    1) All the men looked at breasts anyway, so results are screwy.

    OR

    2) The other group got so nervous trying not to look at women's tits that in the end their blood pressure shot up due to the daily stress they were subjected to.
Weatherby explained the concept stating, "Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There's no question: Gazing at breasts makes men healthy.
Ergo, having sex and **** must be some of the best things men can do to improve their life. Surely they'd have more of an effect than looking at boobs?
In addition, she also recommended that men over 40 should gaze at larger breasts daily for 10 minutes.
    LOL

    I love researchers, really =P

If QOTSA come back to Ireland then I HAVE to go see them myself! Brilliant band:D Good pact...no, a great pact you both have there :)

Got a pint of water in the end, it stopped me thinking of food lol:p

I'm thinking they looked anyway, its not as if they were monitored for all that time everywhere they went :pac:

Looking at boobs is nice yeah, but only real ones...pictures dont normally do it!

But yeah, if you can't get sex then I guess self loving is the only way to go until you do...

Researchers are great, where would we be without them lol:D

I wonder how exactly they came up with 5 years.

If in like 20 minutes you're still hungry then you weren't thirsty. I must be the only person ever who doesn't ever get that "you're thirsty, not hungry" thing. I'm never actually thirsty in day to day life. Might be all that tea >_<

Btw, what's wrong with getting a cup of tea at 3:30am? You never explained it.

I think they made the 5 years thing up, you know these researchers and their crazy, irrational ways of explaining things:pac:

Do you count 20 minutes or just have some food anyway? Maybe all the tea is what does it, but all those tannins from tea would be really bad for you:( I try to only have 2-3 cups at most a day! And one other would be green tea, but that's a good tea:)

I never said there was much wrong with it:confused: Unless you actually want to sleep, in which case dont drink tea as it is a stimulant...

Whenever I come back home from a night out drinking, the first thing I do is put on the kettle for a cup of tea and have some bread! Its weird but it always happens lol:D

I don't actually count 20 minutes, but I tend to delay food a lot because I get distracted =/

I drink a lot of tea and my usual is pu erh but I drink many different types of tea. I really like green tea as well =] I'm not overly concerned by tannins, and I never have tea very close to a meal so that's fine. Also, there's a wide range of foods that contain tannins. I tend to not get too worried about small things like that because my habits and lifestyle are pretty good overall (bar this summer!) and my doctor keeps telling me that I'm very healthy anyway. It'd be much worse if I smoked or something, which I don't.

I can sleep fine after drinking tea! I think by now I must be immune to it.

Tea and bread after drinking? Really? That's so weird :p What do you have on the bread? I can think of a million things I couldn't stomach after drink.
    For me it's always:
    -Get home.
-Tell mum I did take a taxi, and try to avoid looking at her expression of disbelief.
-Try to come up with a funny/random annecdote.
    -Get changed.
    -Crash into bed.

    Or

    -Get home.
-Take off heels, try to get to my room without waking everyone up.
    -Crash into bed.
-Wake up in the morning and notice that I'm still wearing a mini skirt.

I never get to have food when I get home >_<
    Lucky you.
We do nearly always end up at a McD drive-thru though...

Ahh do you get the *oooh shiny* thing I get and forget about time?:)

I've never had it, we have Green, Mandarin and Ginger and Camomile here right now...might try that one too, will be heading into Tesco anyway later today.

The tannins thing is fine if you space out the tea away from meals like you mentioned yeah, and being healthy would make up for any small problem that may arise in the diet:) Smoking is not a nice habit for anyone to have, I would much rather be an alcoholic than a smoker ugh:(

Yeah I find it weird too:p And all I like on it at that time is plain old butter lol! I guess we all have strange quirks eh!

Situation one is with more drink, so you remember taxi and no lift? Situation two would be with more/less drink but just forget? :)

And a mini-skirt? I never knew you liked those, just dresses...since you mentioned you dont really like jeans I guess you dont mind showing a bit of leg then ^_^

I like pu erh because it's very smooth. I can drink your usual tea but since I drink tea without milk or sugar it becomes very obvious that 99.9% of tea is pretty crappy. Oh I love herbal infusions as well. And mate ;)

    Oh God Darren. Wrong!

Drinking is better than smoking, but as far as addictions go, smoking is better than alcoholism. Less problems, and affects less people.

Both situations can happen regardless of drunken status. The main difference is mostly whether my mum wakes up. I'm never drunk when I come home.

And I do like jeans! I'm not into dresses >_> I like mini skirts. I love mini skirts actually! Bit of leg is fine. My legs are too thin now so at least I can say that I'm not wearing mini skirts to be all slutty or anything. A few years ago I had the best legs ever. Than again I was too young to be legal =P

    Ewww butter...

I might be beginning to not make sense. Or make less sense than usual.

When do you get to find out if you got your place?

When do you get to find out if you got your place?

I've seen that brew on some tv shows before, where they are visiting Brazil and Uruguay and possibly Chile...not sure about last country but do you drink it with your family yeah? Special occasions only too or probably more regularly I dunno! I believe that's the given thing to do with it:)

But it would be far easier to wean someone from alcohol addiction than nicotine in my eyes...I know it would be tough either way, but alcoholics usually get around as much illness as smokers anyway, they each affect different vital systems, but both of those systems can recover if treated early enough.

I should have figured out that one, the main point of contention being your mam in both:)

Weird, you told me last time we were out you dont like jeans much, and prefer dresses lol! I could imagine jeans being less comfortable though, I dunno>_> Well I've not seen ya in one yet so I can't say anything regarding that, but your legs are not too thin from what I've seen in jeans...

Yeah too young haha, back then though you prob had your other bf anyway so he got to appreciate the legs:p

Or maybe its me who is not making sense? I dunno lol maybe!

    Butter is nice at times:)

Oh I will have to wait until 23rd Aug to see what happens, if I do get a place I'll probably be off to Carlow within 2 weeks of that date to live...I'll be happy but sad too!

I wasn't talking about the physical damage a smoker and an alcoholic would do to their own bodies. I was also talking about the social side of it, and the way addiction can pretty much destroy people's lives. Smoking is nowhere nearly as bad as alcoholism. (I think I know too many alcoholics =/) Smoking will generally not render you unable to work or be a functioning member of society, for example. Not saying that must happen to all alcoholics btw.

Tradition? My family? Nahh. I've never seen someone irl drinking mate from one of those gourd type thingies, probably because I'm so out of touch with my country! I'm also the only one at home who drinks it, and I drink it the way I would any other tea/infusion. It's the best for iced teas though.

No. I said I wanted to wear a mini skirt but since everyone else would wear jeans I was gonna go for the happy medium of wearing an informal dress. Not the same thing at all! ;) I love mini skirts. Dresses are ok, and jeans are just practical. With all this talk about clothes, you'd think I care about fashion! >_<

Back when I still had my killer legs I was actually single. I was around 14 I think. Then I lost loads of weight due to random final growing up/metabolism change. God... I haven't been single in a million years. It's kinda sad in a way.

23rd of August is still ages away =/ I hope you do get it, because you deserve it. :)

Oh well in that case you've proved your point...socially most alcoholics would not survive...they just thrive from the attention of drinking with other alcoholics, or the voices they might start to hear because they are going slowly crazy. Addiction is a scourge, but it is also human nature...the two will never be compatible, I doubt addiction will be eliminated in my lifetime either (you've like forever left so you'll see it through:))

And you didnt do it anyway, and wore jeans again:p A happy medium is nice aye, not the same thing at-all...next time maybe;)

Fashion is not something I like to admit to, but apparently I've got good co-ordination with clothing for myself:P You can continue to not care though:D

You were 14, so pretty much new to Ireland at that stage too! Then hormones kicked in and pushed you that extra bit older ^_^ Its not sad, but at least you've got good times...being single's not all its cracked up to be either ya know...

I think it's pretty close though:confused: I'll be in a frenzy trying to organise stuff at that stage...the last thing I need really so the next two-three weeks will be hopefully really fun so I can end the summer with a bang:D

I feel that way too, thanks :)

Although I now must say good night/morning to you, getting early lol! I will need sleep but its always nice to stay up chatting with you:)

p.s. I never got to go buy my credit for phone lol, been on this laptop most of the night:pac:

    You've forever minus 10 years :p

Muahaha was making a point of not mentioning sleep to see who'd go first lol
That's what you get for complaining! :p

I need some sleep too, as I'd like to get up at before lunch time.

I never said single was a good thing. Or a bad thing. It's just... something.

    Get some credit, you!!

And good night/morning to you too. :)

    ^_^
