excessive yawning is keeping me awake

Sometimes, when I go to bed, I am afflicted by a desire to yawn excessively which prevents me from falling asleep. The only solution at the moment is to walk around and yawn until I’ve “yawned myself out” and then go back to bed. But lately, even that doesn’t seem to work. And sometimes I’m so knackered that I don’t have the energy to get up. All I can do is lie there, until I fall asleep from exhaustion. I sometimes get it during the day and am unable to relax with it. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Or can anyone suggest anything?
