So what are ye all watching these summer days. Lost, Heroes and Prison Break may be over but there is still enough on to keep me entertained. I'm watching:

The Mentalist-Fantastic show and since CSI has gone downhill, this is a great substitute.

The US Office-I was a late watcher of The Office so I'm still catching up on series 3 on Comedy Central and the latest series on 3e. A fantastic comedy, one of my all time favourites.

    30 Rock-Not a great show, a bit over-hyped but I'll still watch it.

Chuck-I'm still catching up with series 1 and recording series 2 on Virgin1. A good turn off your brain show.

Harper's Island-A good drama probably more for the teens, keeps me entertained on Monday nights.

Scrubs-I initially hated Series 9 but I soon got to love it but the series seems to be taking a break on RTE.

Feck all. Cann't think of anything I am currently watching. Flicking more than anything. I am sticking with 24 but ah it isn't as good as it used to be. I enjoyed Damages and Terminator: The Sarah.....

Currently making my way through The Wire. Just about to start Season Three so I've a bit to go.

Deadwood and Battlestar are both gone bye bye. Dexter lost it for me after season 2, and that wasn't brilliant. Too many characters I didn't like and one I did that won't be returning. I'm pretty much in it for Lost and House at this stage. Lost has one season left, House will go for a few more hopefully. I think I'm almost done with Television. I shant miss ye (and yer shite adds).

Star Trek: The Next Generation... currently rewatching through the seasons, I have a few others shows on hold (lie to me, leverage) but I just don't have the gusto to watch them. Might give BSG another go as I'm interested in watching some space sci-fi, of which there seems to be none of at the moment.

Oh ya, House is another series I'm watching, great show.

Watching Lie To Me and Underbelly right now. Season 2 of True Blood is airing now in the US, and pretty much the only current show I'm watching, apart from Burn Notice.

    Great way to spend the summer is to just watch Nickelodeon and Disney Channel all day long;

    Drake & Josh
    Hannah Montana
    iCarly
    Wizards of Waverly Place
    Genie in the House
Suite Life of Zack and Cody
    Suite Life on Deck

It's great fun and makes you feel like a kid again. Then in September we can return to the more grown up shows.

Box sets of 'Leave it to Mrs O'Brien' and 'Upwardly Mobile'. Good weather always brings out the nostalgia for those childhood summers when we only had the 2 channels. Google it kids.

House is brilliant. He is real bastard. Its amazing the way Hugh Laurie just fits into the role-perhaps that's because English and Irish people are cynical at heart! The one critique I would make of House and The Mentalist (and others) is that they seem to have jumped on the CSI Bandwagon with their anal attention to detail. 'Ah I see you don't drink coffee because you shook your head twice but you prob once did because most people only shake their head once and twice means a real rejection'

.Its on 3e Sunday. I'm also on Season 5 of the Sopranos.

I've just started watching House: Brilliant show
The Inbetweeners (Under-rated in my opinion)
Watching Peep Show again as well

What? I said it's under-rated as in good but not usually recognised as a good show.

Is there any decent Sci-Fi out at the moment? With Terminator cancelled and Dollhouse on hiatus; I'm out of ideas. I think there might be some Red Dwarf series 9 floating about but the first episode was pretty average and I dont have any other possibilities. Help!

Oh good god, how can you watch that crap, especially that Zack and Cody nonsense. Even for children's programming, it's awful.
    'Upwardly Mobile'.

Of all the sitcoms there have ever been, none were were less funny than this. I used to hate when there was only two channels to chose from, and that was on one of them. I had to go outside, to the real world!

See that was the public service part of that broadcast. I don't know I have seen Genie in da house and I think that comes close.

Agghhhh, I tried to watch Dollhouse and Knight Rider but they were awful. We need some new Sci-Fi show. I hear Steven Speilberg is making a new TV Series, something to do with the aftermath of Alien abductions.

Watching True Blood Season 1 at the moment, started off slow but its getting good now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Glad to see you're enjoying True Blood Dave.. Breaking Bad next buddy!

I'm watching shag all at the moment. Plenty of nixers (web design mainly) outside of work keeping me busy, and I've been getting re-acquanted with my old friend, Mr 360.

I started watching Leverage (first 2 - 3), watched all of the first season and half of the second season of 'Early Doors' (never seen it.. not as good on The Royle Family but very good all the same!).

I had so many good intentions for this Summer - The Wire (seasons 3 onwards), The Shield (season 2 onwards), Leverage, Supernatural (season 2 onwards) and much more. They're going by the wayside.

Am gonna finish Leverage next week.. and possibly get back onto Supernatural,

Just finished season 3 of The Wire, why more people dont watch this show when shyte like Big Brother is in its 10th year I dont know, its why we have a culture of dullards these days

House and Top Gear on TV.

Coming to the end of season 1 of The Unit on DVD. It's fairly rubbish, some of the dialogue is poor and the wives are dreadful. Hard to believe Shawn Ryan of The Shield has a hand in this.

It should be called 'America, f**k yeah!'.

I bought this on DVD could get past the first 15 mins, really, really bad.

As all my favourite shows were coming to an end, I was wondering what I was going to watch next and how I would last the summer without any good shows but there seems to be lots on.
I'm watching S5 of House and quite enjoying it. I had gone off it a bit but have gotten back into it.
    The Mentalist on RTE
    The Inside on 3e
Season 6 of NCIS on FX
    S2 of 30 Rock on 3e

Oh and True Blood S2 and Breaking Bad S2 from my cousins in USA.

i dont think so, its changed direction so much, you might get caught for some story here and there, but not much, ive watched it all, and just watch now cause ive watched it for so long, it wouldnt be at the top of things i have to watch,

Burn Notice is the only program currently on air (in the US anyway) that I'm watching. Really simple spy stuff. Leave your brain at the door but it's entertaining.
I got Rome recently. Fairly decent and worth a look.

Never saw any of the Inbetweeners and Peep Show. They're on my list.
