I used to be a member of Westwood and this morning got in a free 'cheque' from then for 465 quid or something like that, as a free joining fee. I do not remember having to pay any joining fee when I signed up originally??Is this a scam or did I just manage to avoid it somehow before?

    just unbelieveable!!!

I got one also and it read like a - 'you have just won the spanish lotto' scam!!!

My membership ran out a month ago and they want me to feckin PAY 31 euro as a joining fee!!

The cheque thing is a joke and a complete insult at a time when they should be dropping their price they have the cheek to offer a fake cheque AND then ask for a rejoining fee!!

What a complete joke and i for one will be calling the manager on this as i was still considering rejoining just for the tennis and spa as i have all the stuff i would ever need in my gym.

Just cant believe the brass balls of these people

It's a bit rich, they just need to cut down their membership fees in general, and the cheque also had to be brought in by next monday at the latest!
