^^CatchLight, you certainly did (catch the light) for that pic anyway! ;)

I had to stop (and reverse the car) when I saw this scene....

That's a really nice shot, great colours but the border really distracts from it.

Nice one - very inventive & technically very good -great depth of field/ exposure spot on.

Can you give the technical details just for info?

    Thanks

    keps

this was a real random on the spur of the moment pic, taken on a flight back from spain. i certainly got some really strange looks from the stewards and spanish students at the time. i was sitting at the very front in row one, and i couldnt resist taking a snap.

anyway - the photo was taken with a panasonic lx3, the shot was taken in aperature priority mode, iso200 with (if i remember correctly) the nostalgic film mode, the metering was set to auto on matrix mode. finally i had the 18mm converter lens on.

i should read this thread more for ideas :)

it's just food from a different culture, there isn't anything wrong with it. i guess its just a matter of taste... i thought it was an interesting sight anyway.

i suppose this is nicer to look at?

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, just not a nice picture imo.
Same as I wouldn't find a picture taken in an abbatoir to be nice or appealing.
    Interesting?
Maybe to some - just not for me.

Its certainly not a nice picture. Doesn't stop it from being good though. While we all love pictures of sleepy Koala Bears (see ^^), photography should challenges us occasionally.
