I know it's a few weeks away yet but I'm sure many of us on here will be at the Terenure show on Sunday 5th July. So who's going, what will you be driving and what club will you be representing?

No disrespect Colm, but what's special about an FTO?

Have you done major work to it?

I dunno, but the owners club has been there for the last few years, always get a good reaction from spectators and owners of older cars. I'm not suggesting an FTO is a classic car or anything. (although at 14 years old it's not exactly new)

and yes, it has a fair bit of work done to it. (getting the bodywork looking 100%, preventetive maintainance and subtle performance upgrades mostly, not a bodykit and big wheels kinda guy)

what's special about them to me is the styling, the technology which for 1994 was way ahead of its time, the fact that it doesn't have a turbo but still has 200bhp from 2 litres, the sound of the V6 at 8500rpm, and the fact that they were never sold here when new.

I thought you used to have a Blue FTO. Did you sell that and buy another one?

    hi,

I just recently got a classic (see attached) and would like to enter it into the show in Terenure, however I'm not sure how to do it or is it too late to register, can i just call up on the day and register it?
Are there loads of different sections?
    any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks

What club are you in yourself dude? I.e. is it the above club who are buddies of yours or another? Reason I ask is I was talking to a chick online from Arizona the other day who's b/f's from Cork and is running with the Irish Escort Club.

Edit: On second thoughts you're all about Cortina's!

I'll be there in my Vivaro taxi.:p
Last year I brought a friends Cucciolo to the show in the back of it.
This year he's only bringing one bike.

Need to register for the show?

You could pre- register for €10 but it's too late for that now. Pay on the gate €15. Handier to fill the form out before you get there, saves time on gate and for other exhibitors trying to get in behind you! See form attached!

Just back from it now. Was a great show as usual and a fantastic turnout of cars.

I saw your car, and if it was you driving, I saw you. When you got out, you were chatting to another guy, so I left you to it and did not introduce myself.

There was also an original Irish Renault 16 TX there too, away from the other two 16s. There were a good few Fiat 127s and some amazing american metal. Also some late eighties starlets and a 1985 Toyota Corrolla.

There was were some very nice Citroens, including that SM above and some CXs and GSs and strangely just one 2CV that I could see.

Very nice Jaguars and Alfas too.

We arrived at the same time and were parked pretty close to each other at the AMCI stall - how did you miss me!?!

Was a good show, weather put a bit of a dampener on it though but what can you do!?! Some great cars there!

Funny to see so many cars joining the classic scene that you wouldn't have given a second look to ten years ago! Late 80's Corolla's and Sunny's!?!
