Questions about a 'borrowed' programme (thanks to briankeating)

    I've recently just started in a gym again and decided to try using the routine briankeating posted a couple of days ago

    "Squat/Deadlift 5x5, alternating each day.

    Giant sets (I think) All 3x8, no breaks, 30sec rest after last excercise:

    db bench>1 arm db row> lunges
    BB military press> chins> SL deadlift
    CG bench> EZ bar curl> calf raise."

    I wasn't sure about some of the exercises so what I actually did and the order I did it was below. As you can see, the weights are pretty light by some of what I read on here -
    What should I be focusing on upping (although I did find it tough this time)
    Is there such a thing as a dumbbell deadlift?
    Am I using the right substitute exercises? (tricep cable rather than ez curl)
    Does the order matter? I was shifting it around a bit due to access to machines

    Lot of questions I know, but everyone's been pretty helpful so far...!

    • Dumbbell deadlift 25kg (not sure if I'm doing this correctly with dumbbells?No barbells))
      all 3x8
    • dumbbell bench press 25 kg
    • Bentover dumbbell row 12.5 kg
    • lunges 20kg
    • dumbbell military press 20kg
    • tricep cable pulldown 34kg ( wasn't sure about the ez bar curl)
    • dumbell squats 25kg
    • lat pull downs 40kg (can currently do half a chin up!)
    • calf raise 41 kg (on machine)
    • Shoulder press (no idea - probably 25kg - again no barbells for cg bench)
