    Leinsters Jersey is released...

    Splash_PageFinNobuynow3.jpg

    in the shop: http://ingahalpin.com/images/LeinsterNew.JPG

Not nice at all imo. And everything is printed on the jersey...so try not to spill anything on it and wear plenty of deodrant unless you want sponsor, crest and logo to all peel off, other than the old poor quality sponsor alone.

The last 3 seasons the jersey has gotten worse and worse and darker and darker...it's a terrible shame, I'd liked the good old days when we played in blue...

Training jersey from last season was the best jersey by a mile and I wish it was our 1st choice jersey now...certainly wont be buying that crap above anyway...

    I wish it was:

    Home
    obj1226063?view=976

    Away
    obj1160760?view=976

I really like both of THEM!!

What the cock is that on the jersey ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

Thta's a horrible looking thing, that blue streak wtf?

Agreed Jackass, I wish we could go back to wearing proper blue rather than this navy stuff. A bit of gold back in the jersey would be nice too.

Looks like I'll be hanging on to my training jersey for a good bit longer.

those lads would want to watch where they're running, they could really hurt themselves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 869 ✭✭✭Daithi BC

I really hope that's a windup. My wife has just looked at it and said "Even a girl wouldn't think that was a good idea".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,848 ✭✭✭bleg

oh jesus, i thought those stripes were just a shimmer effect done on the poster. nearly vomited once i opened up the link

Since we're on the topic, will there be a new Munster jersey next season?

I hope not, i love the current one tbh.

is there any pictures of the away jersey floating around?

    That's bloody awful.

Does it glow in the dark!?

edit: I assume it is all screen printed and thus nothing can peel off as it is part of the jersey itself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 427 ✭✭ch2008

This really is awful. I'm not wearing that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

I knew the streaks reminded me of something - that feckin Bank of Ireland ad:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 625 ✭✭✭theKramer

As soon as ye get rid of the "Fancy Dans" tag by winning the Heino, Canto come along and give ye that glow in the dark nonsense :P

LOL. Canterbury are soooo crap :D

    Oh dear god.

Best team in Europe or not I am not buying that horrible, horrible jersey I thought the streak was just the lighting in the poster!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 427 ✭✭ch2008

No seriously, can we get a petition going to get rid of this???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭Stev_o

I can imagine Cantebury's designers meeting " So basically lads every year we'v given it a darker shade of blue and constantly removed white and gold so that's that idea already done. What else could we do? "Ehmm how about a strip?" "How about a glowing strip!" "Sounds like minimal effort lets do it".

Sad really since iv 3 Barnhall jersey that are completely different to each other and in my opinion extremely well designed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭B0X

Well thats an absolutely disgusting jersey. What were they thinking?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭themont85

Canterbury of New Zealand you should be ashamed of yourselves. The writing was on the wall when they did the Portsmouth jersey, this is a new low.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

I opened this thread hoping to see the new Ireland Jersey, aw well.
I agree with the Leinster lads, that jersey is horible looking. Cant are really stuggling with all of there jersey design's as of late.

Yeah, my university plays in a similar Canterbury jersey. The logos and sponsors aren't printed on separately - it's actually just part of the jersey. Like the 'Arnotts' on Dublin GAA jerseys etc. So you won't have all the stuff peeling off at least.

But eh yeah, truly horrific jersey. I'm just so disappointed. How could they get it so wrong? So, so wrong???

I thought it looked good first, then i looked at the link...

Seriously, how many people need to be a) an idiot b) sh!t at their job, and c) an idiot, for this Jersey to make it to that shop window, and worse, the players' backs?

I'm guessing at least twenty. Any takers?

It's awful. A bad skateboarders jersey.

Thought it wasn't too awful until I opened up the link, the strip effect reminds me of a can of pepsi. Canterbury stuff has gotten worse and worse. Although the Saffers jersey isn't the worst.

Rumour has it Munster will be wearing almost red next season. There's less navy in the top and the shorts are now red as well.

The away jersey is going to be this colour I think

I suppose in the current economic climate I can take some comfort that I'll save some cash by not having to buy that gash and I buy all sorts...

Seriously Leinster, leave the whackyness to Stade Francais!

    Horrible looking yoke.

The Canterbury logo seems to be getting bigger with every new incarnation. Soon won't be room to fit a sponsor in.

Don't really like many of the modern range of rugby shirts, but very underwhelmed in particular with recent Canterbury products. In fact, although I know that the new Ireland jersey will be by Puma rather than Canterbury, I've just gone out and bought a Cotton Traders classic Ireland rugby shirt. Now that's a proper rugby shirt - no sponsors, no outsized logos apart from the shamrock, proper rugby shirt style collar, and it won't need changing every year to keep with the latest re-design.

Oh, and it fits properly :)

    that jersey can cure AIDS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 785 ✭✭✭ALH-06

I wonder who's initiative this was? Must have come from Leinster, as Canterbury surely have never designed anything remotely like it. Seems so incongruous with the rest of their jersey range.

Yep, it's like some idiot from Bank of Ireland drew it up during his morning coffee break. Fits in very nicely with their 'Blue Magic' carry on, they must be delighted. They're the only ones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

    It's not all bad.

Anyway, I'll make my mind up when I see it in the flesh so to speak.

Jeez thats dreadful, looks like the friggin 'northern lights' across it!!
and why is it so dark??? May aswell be a Scots jersey! Bad,bad choice:rolleyes: Training kit looks great btw!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,415 ✭✭✭chupacabra

I have to say this is much better than the usual stock jersey design Cantebury decide to use. The wolves version is better. That t-shirt halts the effects of cancer.
