Hi guys,


Unfortunately issues have started arising due to the size of certain threads. It's creating trouble with the database.

Thus, unfortunately, the Lair as it exists days are numbered. We'll have to open a new thread in the near future and lock the existing Lair.

( Screw that, we all know the day walkers found the Lair so we need a new home. Still, good opportunity to do the place up. for one, I want a new throne for one, Lysander needs a kennel big enough to keep a dead zombie in and we need creakier doors.

Feel free to ask for new furniture, features etc here and I'll do my best to get them for the new Lair when we find a cave suitable enough for us!)

You can have floor cushions but how many get eaten by Lyssie and Noxcat aren't up to me!

I am reasonably sure no thread will ever be allowed to get to the size the Lair has.

I can change the name of a thread in the Noc anytime. It is something to think about.

If at all possible I will lock the Lair for posterity.

I know it's childish, but if I could, I would like to wait until Nerin gets back. I feel he should start the new one.

If I get some best before date I'll decide and do it myself.

I'm planning to cap them off myself when it reaches a certain, quite high no. Or possibly, Conultor will come up with something better. I don't want anyone feeling they have to change the way they post. I am serious about that.

I said to myself the other night that I really wanted to go back to posting in the Noc Forum as much as I used to, and was planning on posting more regularly in The Lair. Guess I left it a bit too late.

Still, it's a testament to how much everyone loves that thread that it became so damn popular it almost broke the database.

The new thread needs a snappy, catchy title. How about: "The Second Off Topic Thread Of The Irish Website Boards.ie's Nocturnal Forum, That Is A Continuation Of The Now Locked Thread Known As The Lair Which Served For Members To Partake In Whimsical Banter And Other Assorted Entertaining Nocturnal-Based Activities."

Or something similar.
