Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can't believe it's only 5 days since the LC ended...
For months I was dying for this freedom, really I was. I was amazing at doing nothing. Watching box sets for 8 hours straight used to bring me endless pleasure.
But now... I'm a little depressed already, to be honest.
6th year changed me. I think I need to have some overall goal or something. Right now just feels like such a waste of life. Jobs are out of the question, but I thought I might be able to find some volunteer work. I got rejected from charity shops. Bad times.
    Roll on college.
I know how you feel tbh.

Well if theres nothing planned for a day I spend it on the laptop. Usually play poker online, write scripts for the spoof trailers I'm going to make and surf.

In general theres been around two parties a week at least so there been a lot of drinking and dancing. And nearly all my friends have turned 18 so we will most likely be going out a lot.

I'm also learning to drive and actually have 41 goals to work on :L (www.43things.com)

In general, I'm recovering from the bull**** of the leaving.

Just starting worked out to tone my abs. Really want abs to drool over.

    Normal day?

    Sleep
    Up usually around 10
Internet for a while until I feel I've awoken enough to greet the world
Downstairs to see if my housemate(s) is(are) awake and chat
    Work (usually 9-12 hour shifts)
    Home
    Internet until I feel tired
    Sleep.

I work in my family's restaurant all day. I reckon I'll have made €3000 by the end of the summer.

Don't waste your summer in front of the TV. You'll become one of those morons who thinks they're funny because they quote lines from a TV show whereas in reality no one gets the reference and just think they're an idiot.

Wasn't aimed at anyone in particular...just a general rant. You know the type!

If your bored why don't you use the summer to learn a new language? The internet is a great resource. I suggest Italian, I may even help you out if you're nice to me :pac:

I'm thinking about doing that actually. I'd like to learn Portuguese: just 'cause I really like the way it sounds.

I know one sentence: "Estas sapatas estao apertadas"
It means "these shoes are tight!" :D

Learning a language is always a good idea. Learning anything is a good idea, really. Find a topic that you're interested in and learn as much as you possibly can about it.

I've started learning a new language since the end of the Leaving: Attic Greek (ancient Greek). 'tis a tricky one to try and learn - with a whole new alphabet and all that - but I should be well on my way with it in a few years... I'm not too worried about being able to speak it; I only want to be able to read fluently in it, really.

What do I do all day.........mhhhhhhh......

    eh...........procrastinate?

Fuck me,for the >4 summers I always say I'll yano try and stick to a routine,to to the gym, have a proper diet, get a job, have regular sleeping,do fun stuff etc etc but what actually happens is that I always put off/dont stick to it and so I end up with the exact opposite! (Convenient and requires no effort) So meh!

    Basically:
    Get Up
Home and Away (sad,I know :D)
    Head out
    Dinner
    Ps3
    Internet/or drinking at weekends
    Bed

At the end of the day,if your doing what makes you happy, happy out! :pac:

I'm grounded for 'extremely excessive drinking and causing trauma to my parents'. Tis great. I'm reading an economics book for college. I'm waiting on a job though so at least I can get out of the house for that. Summer rocks.

Well, when you have no job and thus no income it's pretty easy tbh! And plus I'm on medication too so it's probably well that they did. One good thing is that I'm reading more than I probably would otherwise and I'm going to save a fortune on drink next year!

Play lots of video games, I need to finish Half Life 2, Portal, Heart Gold, play through Mario Sunshine, get Mario Galaxy 2 and play that, Viva Pinata too if I can get a hold of an XBox. Read bucket loads of books.

Watch loads of movies, including the Jurassic Parks, The Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Toy Story 1 and 2, Blues Brothers, Pulp Fiction, A clockwork Orange, Die Hard, This is Spinal Tap, The Princess Bride, Requiem for a Dream, Oceans 13, Snatch, Juno, High Fidelity, Kill Bill 1 and 2, V for Vendetta, The Jungle Book, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pan's Labyrinth, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Little Mermaid. Yeah, its a bit of a long list. Also, watch old Doctor Who.

Walk the dogs. So I actually move and stuff

    Sleep untill 11 or 12.
    Get up, clean the house.
Then either go out, or get people to call over to me.
    Lots of baking.
    Some nights out.
    General being broke.

Faff in the sun. Visit friends I haven't seen in fo-evs. Walk the dog. He'll be olympics-ready by the end of the summer. It's only been a few days...I start work tomorrow so as soon as I start getting paid, catch up on my loan repayments and such I can actually do something with my time. Learn to drive properly, as in well enough for my dad to stop being such a protective berk is up there too. I can drive fine but then he starts pissing me off so I get all erratic and just let the car cut out. Why am I such a child?

OH apparently all U2 concerts have been postponed - no U2 at Glasto! Yay! :D

Today will be a good day.
