World Cup Day 10....Ireland v Sri Lanka and England vs India!

Ireland are first up and honestly we will be doing well to avoid a trashing. The Sri Lanka bowling line up is scary and none of the boys will have played Mendis before which is a huge worry knowing how gifted he is. I suppose if we want to be hopeful we can point to Si Lanka's mediocre middle order of Matthews and Silva who are very ordinary. The problem is getting past the likes of Dilshan and Saneth though to make an impact. Hopefully its not to humiliating, its the best we can ask for the boys considering the huge gulf in class between the two teams.
The other game will be closer. Both sides need a win and its hard to call. India have problems,Sharma does not convince me as an opener and Dhoni batting at number three is just not working. They seem to be missing Sehwag massively and seem very reliant on Yuvraj. England were poor the other day, but on the plus side for them, they do have the likes of Wright, Pieterson and Shah who are match winners on their day. It should be interesting watching it unfold.

I think we'll be doing well if just don't go all out. Sri Lanka's bowling is so formidable and we haven't shown our batting ability since the victory over bangladesh, but even if(/when!) we do get roundly beaten we can be very proud of our performance in the tourni so far.
Is NOB going to be fit? He can really galvanize this team.

Yeah Naill is expected to play.

Sri Lanka won the toss and will bat first,

what is a good target to try and keep these guys,

if we can get them to 150 or less you think there is a shock in us?,

or is there bowling just too strong for us?,

really hope Trent and Big Boyd and McCallan can hit these guys hard,

Big Phil says there is still a shock in these games for us, let's hope :)...

    Anything can happen.

Even if they have got those mental hard to pick bowlers.
    Nothing to lose etc. etc.

Here's hoping. Sri Lanka have a tough batting line up, but they are not really deep. Plus they all go after it so if we are sharp in the field, you never know.

    Come on Ireland!

It's not unattainable. If we bat as well as we just fielded this could be a big day for Ireland!
