That we were getting Transformers a week ahead of America? It's news to me, and it's a first for me as I have never seen a 'big' film (nevermind Summer blockbuster) get released anywhere a head of America.

The odd global release date sure, but never this. Anyone know the reason as to why this is happening?

There's just too many big robot fights and explosions.. and you just get a bit sick of it and stop caring and start longing for the film to end.

I think the whole thing would have worked a lot better if it was about an hour shorter. It's a light summer action film, it should stop trying to be an epic as it just doesn't have a good enough story for that.
