I'm profiling all of my movie-centric friends to see who hasn't seen it... then I pounce*.

December is a long way off from 'Where the Wild Things Are' :(

Wouldn't mind seeing it a third time myself. Was meant to tonight, but awkwardness pevented that. Yep, thats twice Ive meant to have gone, but havent.

    Fun Fact:
'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen shattered the Wednesday record, raking in $60.6 million on approximately 9,700 screens at 4,234 sites (including a record 169 IMAX venues) in its first day. The former Wednesday champ, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, had mustered $44.2 million in its 2007 debut.
Among all opening days, the Transformers sequel ranks second behind The Dark Knight, which boasted $67.2 million in its first day on over 9,000 screens at 4,366 sites.'

    (in America btw)

It was an awesome move if you let your brain filter out the patriotic american garbage (why was the anti-decepticon squad american military only, and did the Chinese at the start not have some force of their own rather than than wait for the americans come save them. Also what would they have done if the only guy who could read the alien text or the sole surviviing old guy decided to live somewhere that wasnt a coinvienint taxi ride away?) and other junk "story" elements (what was the obsesion with things humping other things).
What you are left with is about 90 min of giant robots beating up other giant robots, which is awesome.

Side note, to the girl in the Gir top, if you read this, I looked it up. It is in fact "moosey fate" and not "moosey doom". You were right. I stand corrected :(

Red Panda, you're new here, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but if you ever post details of the story of something like that again without spoiler tags, I'll ban you.

To say this is the sort of thing that angers me is a major understatement. I despise having plots of things ruined for me so much I will leave the cinema when the trailers come on. The spoiler thing is covered in our charter.

This is your only warning on this.

I wash my hands of any responsibility in regards to this man's opinion.:D

Sure it wasn't engaging, but I thought it was alright for the spectacle of it all if nothing else.
