Will the Woolshed be open at that hour? Coverage starts at 8.30am, guessing k.o. is at 9am. Correct me if im wrong but pubs cant serve alcohol until 11am.

Sky Sports 1 are showing it live.

Are Ireland playing the AB's this year, because it really would be a good chance to break that duck. New Zealand look reasonable against a not-great France. If we had our full team playing well, we'd beat this All Blacks side.

    Try France - 8-3

    Edit: Conversion made: 10-3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,457 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

New Zealand are all over the place. I don't think I've ever seen an All Blacks team look so disorganised. They could well win it yet and get it right but they look terribly amateurish at the moment.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

    Great Try by france there.

17-3 .... Conversion Made. Nice kicking by Dupuy on his debut.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭themont85

Great play Cowen, fine scrummie. \try NZ; Messum, no 8. Donald misses converstion.

    17-11 HT

You always got the feeling that if NZ cut out the errors, France could be in trouble.

17-11 to France, hopefully they can put up a fight against the inevitable juggernaught that's coming in the second half. Should be good either way though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

Half time 17-11 France. A penalty and late unconverted Try by the All Blacks. Silly by France really - they'll probably lose a match they should win now.

The All Blacks still have the ability to pounce on the slightest lack of concentration, which in itself is quite impressive. Otherwise they've been rubbish.

cmon france , its good to see the all blacks getting a beating ! :)

that french number 8 has some speed

Shocking first try to conceed by the way, like 4 missed tackles or something. Last two guys took each other out, comical sort of.

Yeah totally agree. They have all the talent and really you just know if the play 40 minutes of organised rugby they will destroy France but they make so many basic errors in the first half, and when France challenged them at the breakdown their whole line seemed to get out of sync for some reason.

One thing I noticed was the very poor body positions of NZ. Around the tackle and the rucks they are just way to high. I had never saw such poor technique by an All Black team.

    French backrow is looking awesome

Corey Jane looks like a class player also. Remember him from the Munster game really seems like the next guy to break into the NZ team proper. Is it just me or does Donald not really convince as an OH?!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

    Some serious French defending here.

    oops, penalty

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

    Here comes Chabal!

If he can't make a difference in the physical confrontation here, he's officially good for nothing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 448 ✭✭GymJim

Oh no not Chabal...is Lievremont serious?! And in the 2nd row too

Ye I agree. He's good in the S14, but this is obviousely a step up. McAllister is still a better option at 10 if he comes on there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 448 ✭✭GymJim

Surely McAllister on soon?! Would defo be better option than Donald kicking wise and would get AB's on front foot with his passing and physicality

Who's the Irish ref. He got a serious amount of abuse from the comms for his performance at scrum time.

In fairness to him, we are dealing with NZ comms, not exactly ''impartial'':pac:

Donald was haunted there to get that penalty. He could have been blown for holding in front of posts...still not impressing me!

Big gap between Carter, Evans (when he returns), McAllister...and Donald. The OH for Baby Balcks last year should come through in the next year or so and he is awesome. Anyone know his name?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭themont85

Beaut of a penalty from Depuy, 20-17 to the French. Jauzion on.

    Allez les bleus et blancs!!!

    Dupuy pen

    20 - 17 to France! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

McAlister's on the bench - really don't get why he's still there. Donald's having a poor game.

McAllister's on at 12 for at least 5 mins at this stage

    NZ commentators lol.

    ****, France were 11/2!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭themont85

Wow, intercept for the French. Madard

    27-17 to France!

    Sacre Blue!!!!

    French defence deserved that really.

Can't defend McAllister there though...far too flat. Medard didn't even really have to even try intercept that.

Sorry, yeah I saw him there at that try. Missed him come on. Should be at Fly-half IMO.

Jaysus, I can't wait for Ireland vs France in Paris in 6N 2010!!

****, Nonu try checked by TMO. Looks a cert though.

Try Given, Donald is beyond sh1te with the boot.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

Pity we ain't playing them this summer.

    Try NZ - Game on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭themont85

    Try Nonu. 27-22.

    Conversion to come.

Oh what an ending we've got!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

Bah, Nonu - total rugby leaguer!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 448 ✭✭GymJim

Seriously why do they keep letting Donald kick. Surely McAllister should have taken the conversion...tough kick I know but at least let your best kicker on the pitch take it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Great tackle. What a performance.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

Why are France constantly kicking the ball? Surely now is the time to retain possession?
