I was told I'd be able to do it in May and that I'd get two weeks notice.

Havn't done it yet though and I'm sort of banking on that + a good aural to get an honour.

    Anyone have advice or anything!?

    Cheers,
    Anto

Aye, dunno what the craic is to be honest.

Spanish teacher said "it's nothing to do with me"

I'll ring the school tomorrow though.

Personally that sounds weird, they should know when / where the spanish oral is for all of their students. They would want to make sure they're prepared and want to know how they got on.
I would ring them, tbh I really would have asked someone before now

amusing, but not helpful unless you've actual info on the leaving cert spanish oral

Oh, I did on numerous occasions, even after we graduated.

But I just forgot about it what with the exams...

Well it is one of your exams, so I would have deemed it important.
Maybe someone here who's sitting spanish may know when the orals were sat.

I really would keep at them tomorrow and make sure you get an answer.

OP, if I were you I'd get on to the SEC and explain the situation, your school not helping you etc.

Everyone who missed their French orals in my school were seen in May, so someone dropped the ball majorly on you.

Did anybody else miss an oral and were they sorted out?

My friend missed her German oral due to appendicitis, and only had a weekend notice. She only did it like 2 weeks ago, on the the last week before we finished, the exam people in school had forgotten about it too.
Just make a big raucous tomorrow in school about it, contact the SEC and try to relax, you should be fine.

All the OP can do is try.

From what I understand the school seems to be at fault OP, I definitely wouldn't let this drop.

I say we sue the school, if it's there responsibility to set it up then they should suffer the consequences.

I would be interested in an update, to see what has happened

They 'could', but it's a big boo-boo by the school exam secretary to have forgotten it, if that's what happened.

If it's an SEC error, the candidate cannot be put at a disadvantage so they will have to quickly schedule one.
