Is anybody nervous about Science tomorrow? I am, especially the Physics part. I answered less than half of the Physics in the Mock, got a C overall. I really wanna do well in it.

Anyone got any idea on what experiments are coming up or anything?

I'm worried about the chemistry of it! I can't for the life of me remember chemicals and chemical equations. I need to revise all my experiments too...I haven't in ages. But I'm tired after today.

Science is as easy or as hard as you make it!

Biology is straight forward, do a little study and its 20% and then physics is a little harder but a bit of study will get you up to 30% and then chemistery will get you to 40% you already have in around 35% so its not that far off an A at 75%

Try past papers, look at experiments, look at summaries and learn the definitions!
Everyone will be fine and you have religion tomorrow so you will be relaxed!

I'm confused, theres a coursework a and b. B was one where there were 3 experiments and u had to do 2 of them eg the one on rusting and another one on effectiveness of enzymes on starch or something.
A is the booklet that u fill out in some blue book.

No....for the project and experiments checklist were meant to be handed up a few months ago...

ya but do we not get them back like ? ... to study? :P

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40 daisy17

Unforch not because they are part of the coursework. Like for Home Ec/Religion/CSPE we don't get our write-ups back to study.

I'd get that blue book into your school asap! They usually store them in the school for a while so they might still be able to take yours. If not, coursework A + B are worth 35% - so that's a lot. :(

Em, Your meant to have handed up your CSPE, Religion and Science coursework before easter. They go in these plastic bags with your exam number on them and you get them back after your written exam is over and then you put your written exam inside and hand up the plastic bag.

If they don't get handed up you automatically lose marks

    i love your name!
but seriously guys the lastest you can hand in the experiments is tomorrow, it doesnt matter if ya haven't till then, and their only worth 10% and its a random check by inspectors so don't worry :D

ok no lets clear this up cause i'm gettin reli worried here !!!!!
I have done the experiments fr physics, biology, chem that were assigned. I wrote it in a booklet and handed it up!
Secondly, i wrote up all the experiments in my experiment copy .. handed it up to the teacher ... she ticked them off .. then i took my experiment copy back ... i have it now...
    is this wrong???? :O

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 228 ✭✭Jonakin

yeah i ticked mine off as well but i still have the book that i did the experiments in..

Did you bold 'really' to emphasize your bad spelling? :pac:
Um seriously, that's okay I think. I think the inspector may have already looked over it -- it's the same for us. Teacher took them and gave them back and hasn't asked for them since Easter, but says we already have the 10%.

Although I do find physics stupid.! I can't get my head around static electricity at all! But I'm sure I'll be fine:)..
    Good Luck Everyone..

I am yet to open my science book since my mocks.. :P

The procedure for all schools is the same just some collect them earlier.
Basically you write up the 30 experiments put them in a folder and hand them up on the exam day! (my school and most anyway) they are not sent away but kept by the school while random inspections are made throughout the country. There is a huge chance that they will never be looked at. Dont stress about it. You will probably get the marks regardless.

Am terrified about science really want my honour and in best dreams a b.
    will be up late tonight!

Just keep saying to yourself that you have 35% of the test done.. all you need is 20% more and you got a C.! X

I got a decent enough C in Higher Level in the mocks, and I've been studying since I think I might be okies :D

Not looking forward to the physics part though, I hate greatly dislike physics :pac:

I am worried about Science, out of a class of 17 only 7 people passed the mocks, and I wasn't one of them, the highest in the class was 58%, shows what a crap teacher I have! :(

Ah, I'm happy enough about Science, got top of my class in the Mock with a high B so I'm sorted, I think! :D

    I dunno what to think...
I did Chemistry a week ago.
    And Physics just there.
    No Biology...But it's easy enough...
Plus all my Course work is done really well...
    I really want an A!...But it's hard.
I'll learn Biology tomorrow morning and hope for the best.
I'll get a B at least 'cause I neary got one in the Pre's.

I left mine at before half 10.. =/ I'm kinda worried about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,992 ✭✭✭✭partyatmygaff

Exam was way easy, same as every year. And no long experiments either.

Got an A i think atleast for the written paper

Thought It Was Easy Enough :)
I Got A Tip On The Shoulder Saying Ronaldo Went To
Madrid :D And Walked Straight Out Only Took About 40 Mins. Off Now Til Monday :D Happy Days.

I don't get it ? What about Ronaldo?
I thought it was a difficult test. I think i myself did very well but the questions about habitat study in Biology would have definitley caught people out. None of the teachers in my school even open that chapter in the book, you had to be fortunate enough to look over it in the book yourself. Didn't know much about the LDR though. I said Street Lamps but i had to guess the experiment. I said cover the LDR with your hand?
Overall, I'm happy. Loved the skeleton question!
One more exam!!!!!! Home Ec! Time to start shaving, tanning, flossing, plucking, washing, burning timetable, burning and/or throwing books out, picking outfits...e.t.c e.t.c

We did a bit. Never heard of a line transect though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5 kimmy_1786

I thought that the exam wasn't that hard.

I think the easiest section in the exam was the physics, especially the final question:)

Biology was really hard.. I didn't know how to answer most of the Bio questions!

    Chemistry was alright..

I think overall I got at B or C if you include the coursework:D

What did everyone get in the mocks??
