Orton and Legacy attacked him in the ring, injuring his arm and so he was taken away in an ambulance.

Orton using his rematch clause tonight, if Batista can get back. They keep saying that if Batista doesn't show up for the match, that Orton wins by forfeit.

thus cheapening the belt ever further.

    Soooo...

Vicki quits, and Edge wants a divorce.

Main event; The ambulance returns, ref stops the count out, only to see a returning Triple H, all hell breaks loose......so Batista is still champ I presume?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,972 ✭✭✭orestes

Erm, I know this might sound like a stupid question, and maybe I'm missing something here so someone can spell it out for me. But according to WWE how is Batista still champ?

    Let's run through this:

Sunday: Batista defeats Orton for the title.

Monday: Batista is celebrating his victory and is attacked by Legacy. Batista is apparently taken away in an ambulance after the assault. Orton invokes his rematche clause, and throughout the entire show commentary and back-stage segments make a big deal about if Batista can't make it to the ring by a count of 10, he forfeits his title.

Title match time: Orton and Legacy cut a promo. The bell is rung. At the count of 9 the ref stops the count as a video pack of an ambulance hits the tron. Right, here's where things get a bit confused for me.

I didn't realise that Batista's 10 second count was 10 seconds or when the ref thinks you might be within 100 metres of the ring with no actual evidence, last man standing matches are gonna be fecking interesting from now on at least. HHH hits the ring and the title match is apparently completely forgotten about, cos THE GAME IS BACK DAMMIT!

So, after an entire show building on a stipulation of the title changing hands, the stipulation isn't met and is completely ignored, and the audience are expected to forget about this because HHH is back and the title doesn't mean shit compared to his return (unless he's the one fighting for it). I'm usually the last to go in for HHHatred, but what a load of shite.

WWE thinking their fans can't remember what happened last year is one thing, but thinking they can't remember what was said over and over again less than an hour ago? Gimme a fukking break

    raw full show spoilers
We start off tonight with a look back at last night’s WWE Title match between Randy Orton and Batista where Batista got revenge for what Orton did to Ric Flair on Raw. We are live from Lafayette, Louisiana and your announcers are Jerry ‘Will ECW get a better rating than the NHL Finals tomorrow’ Lawler and Michael ‘Vintage Hog Pen’ Cole.
After seeing the highlights from last night, it is time for the new WWE Champion to come to the ring. Batista addresses the crowd and he is in a good mood tonight. He says that he beat the hell out of Randy Orton last night to become a five time champion. Batista says that there is a sixteen time World Champion watching and he tells Ric Flair that he loves him and that he did it for Flair. He also did it for himself and the fans. He did it for everyone who is sick and tired of Randy Orton. As much as he is enjoying this moment, he says that it is only the beginning. He says that Randy Orton has hurt a lot of people and he is going to hurt Randy for that. He is going to take his pride . . .
He is not going to take Orton’s chance to confront Batista. Randy makes it about half way down the ramp and Batista figures that a sneak attack is coming. He gets to the apron and Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes appear in the ring but they are unable to take down Batista. Batista tries for a Batista Bomb on Orton but Rhodes hits Batista in the arm with a steel chair. It is three-on-one as they work on the arm. Orton with a front face lock while DiBiase kicks Batista. Orton stomps on the arm while Rhodes has him in an arm bar. Orton gets the chair and the remnants of the non-existent IED is back. Orton puts Batista’s arm in the chair and then Orton stomps on the chair.
Batista says that they will never get rid of him. Batista holds his arm while Orton slowly takes the WWE Title belt. Orton leaves with Rhodes, DiBiase, and Batista’s title belt while the medical staff checks on Batista’s arm.
    We go to commercial.
We are back and Batista is being taken through the backstage area and he says that he cannot feel his arm. Batista is placed on the stretcher and strapped in as he goes into the ambulance. Batista wonders where his title belt is as the ambulance drives away.
We have a Moments Ago Moment of the attack on Batista.
Cole and Lawler say that we will get updates later.

well i think with the "3 for all" next week the title will change hands that day! was it just me or did HHH not look as big as he usually does when he makes his comebacks....leads me to believe this may have been last minute enough on acocunt of batistas injury!

Apparently Vickie Guerrero's resignation from WWE last night on RAW was a reality.
The widow of WWE Hall Of Famer Eddie Guerrero reportedly gave her notice to WWE management, citing wanting to spend more time with her children as the reason.
Vickie may or may not be used on a few more television shows but is definitely officially on the way out of WWE.

    She is really gone

So who will be Raw's new GM?

Is Steph or Shane coming back?

Wouldn't surprise me if Flair is next as GM. As for Raw... God awful yet again. Why oh why can't I stop looking at this car crash? :(

I actually had to laugh out loud at Orestes' post. If that is actually how things happened on Raw, they may as well quit trying anymore.

"what this goes to show King, is that anything can happen on Raw".

what annoyed me the most, is after Legacy did their bit on Batista, and Orton took the title to the back, they genuinely had me interested. they had an opportunity to get back some dignity after the farce that was Batista's win. it was there for the taking.

but again, WWE takes the all too easy route and have Paul McMahon bludgeon them yet again and announce his impending return to the top of the WWE Univ....

    i can't say it sorry...

huge opportunity lost to build up Orton for me. he looks like a joke. and it's not doing anyone any favours.

This RAW was pretty good. 7 out of 10 for me.

The opening was perfect. Batista running his mouth. Randy coming down looking cocky and legacy jumping Batista from behind. They teased batista kicking ass before leagacy getting the numbers game to work. Orton procedes to destroy the animal and walk off with the title.

Kofi and Regal. This was the best match they have had and regal did a nice job of keeping pace with kofi rather than having a dull slow contest.

The segment with Maryse and Miz left me wanting more of these two together on screen. The Miz had another fine promo. The tim allen line (Which I won't say in case someone is waiting to watch) was delivered brilliantly and had me laughing out loud.

I was feeling miffed as soon as the big show appeared. The Miz saved the piece by clobbering show with the chair. If people want new stars then we are going to get one in Miz, his involvement has me interested in the feud for the first time. It is also a good idea to drag out the match between Miz and Cena for a while.

The Legacy v Colons match was the type of booking legacy need. A good feud with two talented guys.

I was pretty happy with the ending. I had visions of Orton winning by default or a Batista Miracle. Instead we got re-ignition if the HHH Orton Feud.

I know people will be disapointed with legacy getting killed fast, but if they stuck together it would of came off worse. This way it shows randy using cody and ted, sowing seeds for Ted to criticise Randy's leadership later on.

Randy in the end got his ass kicked. But it was him that brought in the chair so HHH may as well use it! Considering Randy, in the last few weeks put HHH out for 6 weeks or so, Eliminated flair and took out batista then he deserved to get his ass kicked like any heel would. From what I remember the crowd looked pretty happy, job well done.

At least we know now that theres a simple solution being counted put of the ring. Have someone drive an ambulance into the arena and all bets are off.:pac:

Ah yes, the 3 for all, cos a 3 hour PPV once every three weeks isn't quite enough, let's further saturate our own product and shatter the entire point of seperate brands in the process by having a three-hour multi-branded show for absolutely no reason

As the more astute of you might have noticed at this point, I have been a teeeeeny bit annoyed by WWE booking over the last few days :p

you're not alone there my man it is fairly sh!te (and thats an understatement) first they have a ppv where everything changes, then one where nothing changes, then one where everything changes...its just plain rediculous!

yeah just after watchin the edge/vickie segment, this has to be a face turn, he seemed to be on the side of the fans, to keep him as a heel i think they would have made him make at least 1 snide comment to the crowd!

Absolutely not, it was malicious. Typical of how Vince McMahon treats people. Best part of Raw this week were the TNA ad's on some of the ad breaks.

Absolutely not, it was malicious. Typical of how Vince McMahon treats people. Best part of Raw this week were the TNA ad's on some of the ad breaks.

True it was vile. Todd Martin on F4 summed it up perfectly in his Raw review. It was worse than Lita's send off and that says something.
    http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/9574/105/
Vickie Guerrero came out. Earlier they showed a video package with her covered in mud and slop. Jerry Lawler made a bunch of big noises as she came out. Vickie cried about this. She said she has never been so humiliated, and she saw the people laughing at her. She announced she is resigning as GM of Raw.
That brought Edge out. That post-draft brand split sure lasted long. Edge said he was going to apologize for what he said Sunday, but then Vickie quit. Edge said now he doesn’t need to apologize or continue their marriage, because he only married her for power and now Vickie is worthless. Edge said when he went out in public with Vickie, people thought she was his mother. He said he has movie star looks, so how could he be in love with a she-beast. She cried.
Edge continued by saying that when he kissed Vickie he had to rush to the bathroom to dry heave. He added that the only saving grace was they never consummated the marriage. He said he wants a divorce, and left her screaming and crying.
This segment came across so malicious. Vince McMahon in general comes across as a miserable human being who loves humiliating people with less power than him just because he can, and this segment drove home that perception like few segments I can ever recall. You’ve got the widow of a wrestler who died at a young age, and this is her final segment.
On her way out, she is portrayed as a stupid, manipulated, beastly, disgusting, pig. If they went after her for reasons related to her character, that would be one thing. But this was basically an assault on her looks, and I find it hard to imagine that she and her family could take this as anything less than utter public humiliation.
It’s not like they even have a storyline justification for it, either. Edge is a heel going forward, and if they presented her with some dignity Edge would get heat out of being so mean to her. Instead, they basically encouraged people to laugh at the disgusting pig lady, and a lot of the crowd reacted to this segment by laughing at Vickie and joining in with Edge. I’ve talked before about advertising rates and the public perception of WWE, and this was the sort of segment where if you showed it to someone who doesn’t watch wrestling they would conclude this is entertainment for the real scum of the Earth. If you then explained who Vickie Guerrero is, they’d think even worse.
