i question anyone to give one proper democratic reason why we are being asked to vote on a done issue. really, the irish people voted no. that should be the end of it.

Fair enough, but since German's Bundesverfassungsgericht (Supreme Court) ruled just this week that the EU is not a Federation and that Lisbon does not transform it into one, it is not relevant to the debate on Lisbon.
