i don't think i am over training, maybe just i went abit hard the last few days and i am a bit tired, my diet is good, all junk food gone apart from the odd bit of dark chocolate. but in the last few days i was seriously craving chocolate. last night i ate 2 snickers ice cream bars:eek:. i bought one for the mate but he was not their so i ate it myself:D and a packet of chocolate eclairs. the other 2 days were not as bad as that but still i ate a bit of rubbish, just wondering am i craving sugar becuase i am tired, i am not really worrying to much about it as, i am doing really well with my fitness and diet. just want to avoid silly spells of eating junk like that in the future or how to best deal with it.

I think overtraining is notoriously hard to experience imo. just talking from personal experience. i was studying last year in upstate new york and many of my days had 3+hours training. 7-8am, midday and evening. sometimes another short run after 9pm. i was never so active in my life like that. but i never experienced symptoms of overtraining. i made sure i fuelled right. i went through crazy amounts of carbs over there and egg whites too - those americans love their effin egg whites :) if i started to become irritable or sore i would look closely and tweak slightly my routine to eat more or rest a bit more on the weeknds and all was grand. granted i did lose a stone over there. went from 10st7lbs to 9st7lbs but had no problem putting that back on when i returned home on 21st dec in shannon airport all ready for the xmas season :):):):)

i also find if i have a day or two of eating en and jerrys and soft cookies it kind of leads to to feeling more tired and ughish the next morning and leads to to try and tell myslef to take the day off and eat more crap--thats why i avoid it now when i can. but ben and jerrys hmmm

To be fair OP, you haven't said how much you train, how much sleep you get, or how fit you are currently. About the only thing you did say is that you like sugary crap. Who doesn't? :pac:

very recently i have been doing some manual labour work gardening etc. 9-5pm

8 hours or a bit less a night sleep

I doubt you're overtraining. Maybe try 9 hours kip for a few nights and see how you feel. You may also not be getting enough food, or possibly not enough protein. Also, don't beat yourself up because you had a bit of an oul' cheat. I think it's good to eat a bit of junk now and again. Good for the mind anyway. :)

nah not bothered by it as i am doing really well, i just found it a bit
funny that i really wanted chocolate, the last while i have had small
cravings and it was easy not to give in.but the last few days i just totally
gave in, i think i need to get more sleep first and see what happens.

so how many hours of training is that per week?

you've been at it for 10 weeks? take a week of doing something else. activity is fine, but drop the biking, drop the running day. pushups chins and walking for 2 or 3 days during the week. give yourself a reset.

quite possibly you're just bored as hell. what are you training for anyway?
