It's because BioTest is Freakin awesome and should be eaten at every oppertunity.......................................

In fairness t-nation has more information on the V-diet than you'll ever get here. You can even talk to the man who "invented" it!!

Also if Hanley see's that you mentioned the V-diet its likely that he'll eat you:P

That it is positioned on a site that constantly pushes protein supplements in your face reeks of bullshít.

Who is hanley? Whoever he is, i'll doubt he will eat me.
Whats your thoughts on the huge ammounts of protein?

I Agree kevpants.. I think that site is just a mass advetrising machine.

I wouldn't consider it a huge amount of protein.

But you could find a million better ways to lose BF%. If you're going to go the T Nation route try the Get Shredded Diet. It's just a zero carb diet with your BW in pounds x 10kCals. And then eat carbs every 14th day.

FFS you's are all getting eaten now. BUT you'll have to live in fear for a few months cos I'm dieting atm!!

Anyway, RE: The V-Diet. The protein is so high cos you're not really eating anything else and you need to get the calories from somewhere, and protein's probably the most diet friendly macro, it'll help preserve lean body mass (muscle) too, but tbh I can't see why anyone with 70-80kg of LBM would try it unless they wanted to reduce it pretty drastically.

The kcals are just too low imo. It's not really all that far removed from lipotrim!! (ohhh controversy!)

Google protein sparing modified fast, psmf, which is what the velocity diet is. The v-diet is basically a way for biotest to sell loads of supps just like the body for life is for EAS.

Why bother with either? Unless you're preparing for some kind of competition, why take the risk of loosing muscle mass on such an intense diet.

G'em had a long aul log about the get shredded diet , I think. Sounded terrible.

There should have been a sarcasm sign attached to the bit about Biotest, altho i thought it was pretty obvious that i wasnt being serious.

In fairness, most of us have learned not to take you seriously at this stage. Rookie mistake Brian!
